🦎🐍 MEET THE ANIMALS OF LORDS EXOTICS! 🐢🐸

The animals are the heart of Lords Exotics, and over the next few weeks we’re going to introduce you to every member of our animal family! ❤️

These are the amazing animals you may get to meet, learn about and interact with during one of our reptile encounters.

Say hello to Simba! 👋🦎

🦎 Species: Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis macularius)
🎂 Age: 4 years old
♂️ S*x: Male
🏠 With us since: 2022
🌍 Native to: Parts of the Middle East & South Asia

Simba holds a very special place in the Lords Exotics family. ❤️ He was the very first animal I ever produced, making him a huge part of my journey with reptiles and a reminder of where it all began.

He’s grown from that first little hatchling into a beautiful adult leopard gecko, and now he gets to be part of sharing my passion for reptiles with other people during our encounters. 🦎❤️

🍽️ Favourite food: Black crickets
⭐ Favourite thing: Exploring his enclosure 🙌
😂 Fun fact: Leopard geckos can store fat in their tails, which acts as an energy reserve when food isn’t readily available! 🦎

💚 Did you know?

Leopard geckos are one of the few gecko species with movable eyelids, which they can use to blink and help keep their eyes clean. 👀🦎

🦎🦙 WE’RE HEADING TO ALPACA PARK FARM! 🦙🦎

We’re really excited to be joining Alpaca Park Farm Open Day on Saturday 5th September, 10am–2pm, celebrating Evergreen Lodge Nursery & Preschool’s 3rd birthday! 🎉

There’s going to be loads of family fun, including animal encounters, face painting, refreshments and a park tour! 🐑🦉🦙

And of course, Lords Exotics Encounters will be there with some amazing reptiles for you to meet! 🐍🦎🐢

Say hello to Flame! 👋🦎

🦎 Species: Crested Gecko (Correlophus ciliatus)
🎂 Age: 5 years old
♀️ S*x: Female
🏠 With us since: 2023
🌍 Native to: New Caledonia 🇳🇨

Flame is one of our beautiful crested geckos and is full of character! ❤️ She’s a fantastic little ambassador and loves showing people just how fascinating these unique geckos can be.

🍽️ Favourite food:Fig and insect Pangea
⭐ Favourite thing: Pooping on the glass 💩
😂 Fun fact: Crested geckos have tiny hairs called setae on their feet, which help them grip onto surfaces and climb across smooth surfaces! 🦎🧗

💚 Did you know?

Crested geckos were once thought to be extinct! They were rediscovered on New Caledonia in 1994, after not being seen for decades. 🌿🦎

🦎❤️ WHY RESCUE MATTERS TO US

At Lords Exotics Encounters, we try to give rescued reptiles a home whenever we can.

At the moment, around 83% of our animals have come from rescue or needed a new home. ❤️

The other 17% are species that are very rarely found in rescues, so we’ve had to source them responsibly.

For us, it’s simple. We want our animals to be well cared for, happy and healthy, while also showing people just how amazing reptiles really are.

Our rescued animals help us show that reptiles aren’t throwaway pets. They can live for many years and need someone prepared for that commitment.

We’re really proud of the animals we have and the second chances they’ve been given. 🐍🐢🦎
