🐾 Let’s talk about PUPPY BLUES
We've had so many calls from desperate new owners who have reached the point of thinking:
“Getting this puppy was a terrible idea.”
You watched the YouTube videos.
You bought the crate, the toys, the treats.
You thought you were prepared.
Then this tiny four-legged wrecking ball arrives and your whole life gets tipped upside down. 😂
The cream carpet is being pi**ed on.
The puppy is biting everyone.
Nobody has slept properly.
You and your partner are arguing over “the rules”.
The kids are completely obsessed with the puppy… and meanwhile you’re quietly wondering what on earth you’ve done.
And that feeling is horrible, because you already love them.
But then we look at it from the puppy’s side.
They’ve suddenly got:
🐾 New surroundings
🐾 New people
🐾 New noises
🐾 A completely new routine
🐾 No mum
🐾 No littermates or familiar playmates
🐾 Absolutely no idea what your expectations are
Yet within a couple of weeks we’re wondering why they aren’t toilet trained, sleeping through, walking beautifully on a lead and behaving like the adult dog we imagined.
And to make it even more confusing, our consistency can be… questionable. 😂
The rules change. Someone gives in. Someone laughs because it’s cute. Someone else tells them off for the exact same thing.
Puppies aren’t born knowing how to fit into our lives. We have to teach them.
So if you’ve hit that wall and you’re tired, frustrated and wondering whether you’ve made a massive mistake, get in touch.
Sometimes you don’t need to “fix” your puppy.
You just need a realistic plan, some consistency, and someone to remind you that the tiny terrorist currently peeing on your carpet won’t be a puppy forever. ❤️🐶
