RAW FEEDING ADVICE
The base of a raw diet for most dogs is an 80:10:10 mince, this is 80% meat (muscle meat, trim, tripe, heart, lung), 10% bone, 10% offal of which should be 5% liver and 5% other secreting organ (kidney, spleen, brain etc) this is all available in the packs of 80:10:10 minces produced by several different manufacturers and cover a large price range.
You should be feeding at least 5 different meats but as many different meats as possible, this should be over time, not every day, each meat has a different range of vitamins and minerals so variety will cover them all.
We stock single protein minces and mixed protein minces from several different manufacturers, at a range of prices, all only contain the meats that are detailed on the pack. Recently there are several manufacturers producing lower end economy mince rolls that contain chicken in all their varieties as the bone content so if you have a dog/cat that has allergies please look at the packs to check that what you are feeding lists what is in pack as if it’s not listed it could contain chicken, you think you are feeding beef but chicken could have been added so a problem for some dogs.
Raw oily fish and egg and needs to be fed as well, fruit and veg is optional but adds to the diet, this will be covered in another post
