A reminder to everyone that the Lawnswood roundabout is closed from 7pm this evening until 6am on Monday. We will still be open, and there are a number of routes available to get to see us via Weetwood Lane in Headingley and Adel, so please don't let it put you off visiting us 💕 This key bit of administrative news clearly thrilled Acorn when we told him about it - he couldn't contain his excitement 😁

As the summer holidays near a close, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated or taken the time to fundraise for Hope Pastures over the past few months.

We’ve been especially moved by our younger supporters, like Evie, who have shown such joy, imagination and initiative in finding their own ways to raise money for our horses, ponies and donkeys (ahem, please don’t forget the mule, says Raggles!).

We’d also like to thank our fellow animal lovers, including Otley Canine Society, for sharing the animal love and making a wonderful donation of £350 to Hope Pastures.

Whether you’ve raised £10 or £1000, organised an event, taken on a challenge or found your own way to support us, please know how much your kindness means.

Your support helps us keep going!

And don’t forget we’re open tomorrow for our last Monday opening until October half term! Gates open at 10am and close at 3pm. Parking on site and free entry ☺️

🐴 If you’re considering rehoming your horse, pony or donkey, we’re always happy to offer free, friendly advice and guidance to help you explore the safest options for your animal. ❤️

We also work alongside a network of reputable equine welfare organisations, so where appropriate we can help you look at other possible solutions and point you in the right direction.

If rehoming is something you may need to consider, we’d encourage you to get in touch sooner rather than later. Planning ahead can make all the difference, particularly as rescue spaces can become very limited during the winter months.

There’s no pressure and no obligation just a friendly chat about your options and what might work best for you and your animal. ❤️

One of our new residents Ruby has recently joined our rehab to rehome scheme🐴

For a one-off payment of £15, you can help one of our beautiful rescue horses like Ruby on their journey from rehab to rehome.

Your support goes straight towards their care, food and medical treatment 🦷🩺

Each horse deserves a second chance at life. With your help, they’ll soon be ready for a loving new home🏡

UPDATE: THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED DUE TO SATURDAY'S WEATHER FORECAST: We're looking forward to welcoming The Yorkshire Flute Choir to Hope Pastures this Saturday (29th August). Weather being kind, they will be playing in the lower yard, outside the Visitor Centre, from 12.30, so grab yourself a cup of tea, a slice of cake and be transported by their wonderful music 💕

The final run-through later today for our performance on Saturday 29th August at Hope Pastures LS16. We'll be playing at lunchtime, from 12.30. Do come along and hear some uplifting music, visit the cafe/shop and all the lovely horses, donkeys and ponies! Hope Pastures is a fabulous place for all ages, so we hope to see you there! We're currently recruiting adult flute players of around Grade 6 - 8 level for the new term starting on 8th September. Rehearsals on Tuesdays 5.30 - 7.00 in Headingley LS6. Limited places so do get in touch soon! We look forward to hearing from you! 😊

Misty is still looking for her forever home in the Yorkshire area 🥹🐴

Misty is currently standing at 12.1hh and still has some growing as shes only just turning 2 years old. Misty is a Welsh x so most likely will need restricted grazing to prevent her from gaining weight.

✨ Youngster with lots of potential
🏡 Experienced home with youngsters essential
⚡ Respects electric fencing
💭 Can bite at times when frustrated, so she needs a confident, knowledgeable home who understands young horses and is willing to continue working with her.

Misty is a lovely young prospect with a bright future ahead of her in the right hands. She needs someone who will give her the time, patience and consistency she needs to grow into the pony she has the potential to become.
