Nobody sees the hundreds of boring repetitions.
They only see the result those repetitions created.
People see the fast dog walk in competition.
They don’t see the hundreds of stopped contacts, reward placements, proofing sessions, failed attempts and tiny adjustments that came before it.
They see the clear round, but not all the training sessions where it went wrong.
They see the finished skill, not the months and years spent building it.
Progress in agility isn’t always exciting. It’s repeating the same thing until both you and your dog understand it, then repeating it again until you can trust it under pressure.
The boring reps matter.
Because when you finally step into the ring and it all comes together, it might look effortless.
