The Equine Fit Award celebrates riders who put fit first; for trust, connection and confidence in the saddle.

At selected events, riders can opt in on the day for a quick 6–8 minute welfare‑focused check with Qualified, Listed Equine Fitters. We’ll look at saddle fit (in‑hand & mounted), bit fit, and bridle fit. It does not replace a full fitting appointment, just a short, supportive check that highlights good practice in competition.

Each event recognises one Winner (and their fitter) plus ten Commended combinations, helping raise awareness of how correct fit supports equine welfare and rider performance.

Developed by the Equine Fitters Council in partnership with the Saddlers’ Company, this initiative is voluntary, independent of tack rules, and designed to champion comfortable, functional fit for horse and rider. Saddlers Company & Saddlers Hall
