Always lovely to hear about our homed greyhounds doing well and especially when they reach the lovely age of teenager.

We got a message recently from adopter John Wood about Queenie who was homed 8 years ago

“ Queenie was 13 yesterday. She came to us 8 years ago and it is a joy to have her in our family.

She is very well behaved and although she is quite an independent soul she does like a bit of fuss.

She is on the small size but has the heart of a lion. She loves a ride in the car and is agile, jumping in and out with no problem “

Hope you were spoilt rotten on your birthday sweet girl.

Unable to Commit financially full time to helping a greyhound but would like to help.

How about you foster a greyhound on the journey to their forever home? 💚

Greyhound Trust Hall Green is looking for caring foster carers to open their hearts and homes to greyhounds and help them settle into family life while they wait for their happy ever after.

Fostering can be incredibly rewarding and gives a greyhound the chance to experience the sights, smells and sounds of life in a loving home environment.

We are happy to support Fosters in any part of the country and will work with colleagues across the Trust network to get greyhounds out of kennels and in to homes to help them find that permanent home.

If you think you could offer a temporary home to a greyhound, the Hall Green branch would love to hear from you and can provide more information about what’s involved.

Here is our lovely foster boy Trapper.

He was suffering from a corn on one of his pads and it was getting to be troublesome for him with him been a solid boy so after consultations with his local vets we made the decision to have him looked over by a well respected vet in this field, Mike Guilliard in Nantwich who kindly offered to help.

So Trapper had the superficial digital flexor tendonectomy and he is currently recovering very well so we hope this will be the end of troubles for him and he can once again be comfortable, especially whilst doing his zoomies in the field.

We were wondering if any of our followers have been down this route of surgery and how their greyhounds have been after this.
