✨🐍San Diego Gopher Snakes 🐍✨

San Diego Gopher Snakes (Pituophis catenifer annectens) are a robust and adaptable colubrid subspecies known for its bold patterning and confident behaviour. Individuals typically display a tan to cream background colour with dark brown or black blotches running along the body, providing effective camouflage in dry and open habitats. Like other gopher snakes, this species is diurnal to crepuscular and is highly active during daylight hours. 🐍

We still have some of these snakes available, if you're looking for a more spirited and sassy snake these guys may be great for you 😂 😜

The Surinam Horned Frog (Ceratophrys cornuta) is one of the most distinctive members of the Pacman Frog group, instantly recognisable for its elongated “horns” above the eyes, which give it its scientific name. Native to the Amazon basin and surrounding rainforests, these frogs are sit-and-wait ambush predators, burying themselves in substrate with only their eyes and horns protruding, ready to lunge at unsuspecting prey.

The Western Leaf Lizard (Stenocercus fimbriatus) is a small, terrestrial lizard with a distinctive dorsal pattern perfectly resembling the texture of a fallen leaf; allowing it to disappear on the forest floor. A truly remarkable example of camouflage, that barely looks real!

Stenocercus fimbriatus is oviparous, producing small clutches of eggs hidden in soil or leaf litter. With proper enclosure conditions, captive breeding is achievable.

In the wild, Peruvian Leaf Lizards occupy humid forest floors under logs, rocks, and dense leaf litter. Captive enclosures should replicate this environment with abundant hiding spots, soil or leaf litter substrate, and low-level climbing structures such as cork bark or small branches. Moderate humidity (60–80%) and a thermal gradient are key for their health and activity.

If you want to keep something that's a bit different and interesting then these guys might be perfect for you 😊 👋
