⚠️ 14 Early Warning Signs of Laminitis in Horses

🐴 Laminitis often starts before obvious lameness appears. Subtle changes such as hoof wall distortion, hoof rings, a stretched white line, loss of sole concavity, and recurrent abscesses may be early warning signs.

🍬 Most laminitis cases are linked to metabolic issues. More than 90% of horses that develop laminitis are believed to have an underlying endocrine disorder, such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) or PPID (Cushing's Disease), resulting in elevated insulin levels.

👊 Early intervention can make a difference. Monitoring hoof health, working with your veterinarian and farrier, and managing starch and sugar intake can help address risk factors before laminitis becomes severe.

Hestevard are our favourite supermarkets at Spirit's Equestrian

Pulmorex is a complementary liquid feed formulated to nutritionally support respiratory health, immune function and overall wellbeing in horses.

With Vitamin C, Vitamin K and a targeted antioxidant complex, Pulmorex supports the body systems involved in capillary health, immunity and protection against oxidative stress.

When might Pulmorex be appropriate?
🫁 Horses exposed to dust, bedding or stable‑based environments
🫁 During periods of seasonal change or increased environmental challenge
🫁 Horses in regular work or competition, where oxidative stress may be increased
🫁 Horses needing nutritional support for normal immune function
🫁 As part of a broader, vet‑led management plan for respiratory wellbeing

Why these ingredients matter:
✔ Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and helps maintain healthy capillaries
✔ Vitamin C & antioxidants help protect cells from oxidative stress
✔ Nucleotides support normal immune function and everyday recovery processes

Pulmorex is designed to work with the horse’s natural systems - supporting, not overriding.
