Not sure how true this is, but definitely worth a try. But saying that, I’d sooner go to court and be fined, than watch a dog slowly cook alive in a car.

The Police are now saying if you see a dog locked in a car in hot weather, take a picture of the dog and the car. If someone is with you, get them to bring up the weather for your area on their phone so you can screen shot the temp, THEN break the car window. This way, you will not be charged with criminal damage and it gives the police photo evidence to take the dog owners to court.

Looking at the weather forecast, we are going to be hit with another heatwave. Nowhere near as hot as the other week, but still hot enough to limit exercise to the mornings.

Unfortunately, due to the spike in temperatures this week, I will be closing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Even with aircon, I will not be able to keep the inside temperature below the maximum set out in The Animal Welfare Act 2006, that I must adhere to being licensed.

Dog welfare comes before monitory gains, so to keep everyone safe and free from heatstroke and other heat related issues it is a must.

If anything changes dramatically weather wise, I will be in contact.

Important Notice - Please be aware, due to impending spike in temperature this week, there will be minimal exercise to be taking place. More importantly, we may need to close if I cannot keep the inside temperature to below it's maximum, set out in the licensing and Animal welfare Act 2006.
Please make sure that you or your emergency contact are aware, in the event of extreme heat, we may need to close and the dogs will have to be collected at any point during their session.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ANY NEW PROTENTIAL CUSTOMERS

We are no longer willing to take on anymore entire males, due to increasing number of incidents, ranging from spot marking, aggressive, obsessive, domineering and problematic behaviours. This includes adolescent males, who’s owners have no intention of altering them when age permits. We will however take on entire males if willing to chemically castrate after consultation with your veterinary practice and age permits. Please ring us to discuss this situation before filling out the online form. This may change if and when the business grows and more staff are taken on.

Entire dogs that are already signed up with us will be fine, but there may be dates that we will cancel, if more than 3 intact males are booked in on the same day. This also may change if and when the business grows and more staff are employed to enable separation more easily.
