Star has always been a regular visitor here at Barking Bubbles, but now she has a baby sister, Buffy, joining her for their pamper sessions — and it is honestly the sweetest thing to see just how much they adore each other already. 💕

The entire time they were here, they were completely inseparable. While Star was being groomed, little Buffy sat jumping up at my legs trying to see her sister, so excited to play with her once she was back down. And Buffy got exactly the same reaction from Star when it was her turn for her pamper. They truly are joined at the hip! Even trying to take photos of them was a challenge because they just wanted to climb all over each other and play. 🐾

Both girls enjoyed a full groom, which included a bath using a deep cleansing natural professional dog shampoo, followed by a relaxing rinse off, blow dry, and a full trim and styling session. Length was taken off their bodies, legs, ears, faces, and paws to leave them looking beautifully neat and tidy. Their pampers were then completed with a nail trim and finishing spritz so they went home smelling and looking amazing. ✨

Considering this was only Buffy’s second time at the groomers, she was an absolute superstar. She was full of confidence and joy, completely unfazed by the shower, dryer, or clippers. This is exactly why puppy grooms are so important before a pup’s first full groom. Slowly introducing puppies to the sounds, sensations, and routine of the salon helps build confidence and creates positive associations with grooming from such a young age.

Pups thrive on routine and familiarity, and that was so clear to see with Buffy. She already understood that the salon was a calm, safe environment where she could relax, be pampered, and enjoy herself without stress or unpredictability — and she handled everything beautifully. 🥰

I cannot wait to watch these gorgeous girls grow together and see them both again for their next pamper session.

𝑳𝑼𝑵𝑨

Lovely Luna stayed at recently, and towards the end of her stay she was treated to a luxury pamper here at Barking Bubbles. 🫧✨

Her pamper began with a deep cleansing de-shedding shampoo to help lift away loose coat and leave her feeling fresh and clean, followed by a relaxing blow dry and thorough brush out to remove all those stray hairs and get her coat looking its best.

Once her coat was all freshened up, I hand-scissored all of her furnishings to leave everything looking neat, tidy, and beautifully shaped. We then finished her pamper with a nail trim and a lovely spritz so she went home smelling amazing. 🐾

Luna was just the sweetest girl throughout her pamper, constantly resting her head on my shoulder for fusses and cuddles, wagging her tail the whole time and loving every bit of attention she was getting. Just look at that gorgeous smile in her photo! 💕

I can’t wait to see Luna again for more cuddles and another pamper session🤍

𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎🩶🖤🩶

Arlo the beautiful Chow Chow came in for a much-needed pamper and de-shed as she’s blowing her winter coat. She was incredibly compacted, meaning lots of brushing, de-shedding, and coat work were needed to get her feeling comfortable again. ✨

I started her pamper session with a deep cleansing de-shedding shampoo, to help loosen and prep her coat. This was followed by a high velocity blow dry to push out and remove as much dead coat as possible. Arlo then received a thorough brush out using three different de-shedding tools to help lift away all that trapped undercoat and leave her feeling lighter and fresher.

Once all of that loose hair was removed, I hand-scissored her coat to neaten and shape everything beautifully, including tidying her chest, underneath, around her face, and her lovely fluffy legs. I also clipped out her hygiene areas and took a strip underneath to help keep her cooler and more comfortable as the warmer summer months approach. ☀️

Arlo's owners are getting married in just five weeks, so this groom was all about getting her coat wedding-photo ready — she may even be walking down the aisle ahead of the beautiful bride! 💍🐾 I can’t wait to see her again in five weeks for her final pamper and freshen up before the big day.

We’re now keeping Arlo on a regular grooming routine to ensure her coat stays tangle-free, comfortable, and healthy, allowing air to reach her skin properly and helping to prevent irritation and overheating.

Bertie the long-haired Chihuahua came in for his pamper, and just look at those ears! 😍
His owner loves to keep them big, fluffy, and full—honestly giving him the look of a little lion with his own gorgeous mane.🦁

He enjoyed a full pamper including a bath, blow dry, and a thorough de-shed to help remove all that loose winter coat. I then carefully hand scissored through all his fuzzy areas to keep him looking neat and tidy, while only very lightly shaping those beautiful floofy ears to keep them full and fabulous.

Finished off with a nail trim and a spritz, Bertie left looking fresh, fluffy, and as adorable as ever. Such a sweet little character, and an absolute pleasure to groom!

Remy the Cocker Spaniel came in for his pamper, and what a gorgeous boy he is with that beautiful mix of apricot and white colouring 😍
He’s a regular at Leconfield Kennels for his daycare adventures, and while he’s there, he often pops over to Barking Bubbles for a little freshen up—we’ve always got to keep him looking and feeling his best!

Remy loves exploring, diving through bushes, and getting stuck into everything he can find, so we keep him nice and short all over to help prevent those pesky sticky buds, brambles, and tangles. Even his ears are kept a little shorter to stop twigs getting caught up in them, making it much easier to manage his coat while he enjoys all his outdoor fun.

He’s such a good boy for his pamper too—happily jumping straight into the bath and wagging his tail the whole time. It’s always a pleasure having him in!

Buddy the absolute unit of a boy came in for his pamper, and honestly… what a chonky, stunning lad he is! 😍
He absolutely loves coming in and soaking up all the fuss and attention—he knows exactly what he’s here for and makes the most of every second.

His pamper included a lovely bath with a deep cleansing shampoo, followed by a thorough de-shed to keep that coat looking its best. He also enjoyed a relaxing blueberry facial, a full blow dry, wrinkle and ear clean, nail trim, and of course a finishing spritz to have him feeling fresh and looking his tip-top self.

Buddy’s colouring is just incredible—such a gorgeous mix that really stands out, especially once he’s all clean and gleaming. He’s such a pleasure to have in, full of personality and love, and I always look forward to seeing him walk through the door.

What a truly handsome boy! 💙

𝑻𝒆𝒅𝒅𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒕 🧸✨

Believe it or not, Ruby is a real-life four-legged doggy! At first glance, I know she looks like she belongs in a toy shop rather than on the grooming table, but I promise you—this adorable little fluff is a real-life Toy Poodle.

Ruby came to see me for the very first time and was such a joy from start to finish. She’s a happy, bouncy girl, full of confidence and excitement, which made her pamper an absolute pleasure. Poodles have the most beautiful coats to hand scissor, and Ruby was no exception—creating that perfectly rounded teddy bear face and neat, tidy legs that suit her so well.

She really is the definition of a cutie pie, and I already can’t wait to have her back in a few weeks for her next full groom and, of course, lots more cuddles!

Callie the young Siberian Husky has now visited me twice while staying over at Leconfield Kennels for her daycare adventures, and it’s been so lovely to see her growing in confidence each time. She can be a little on the nervous side when first meeting someone new, but with a calm and gentle approach, she soon begins to settle.

The transformation once she’s in the bath is just beautiful to watch; she relaxes into the process and really starts to enjoy the warm water and her massaging deep cleansing shampoo. From there, she takes everything in her stride—finishing with a thorough blow dry, de-shed, and nail trim to keep her feeling fresh and comfortable.

Since her first visit, Callie’s confidence has come on so well, and it’s so rewarding to see her becoming more at ease with each pamper. She truly is such a sweetheart, and once she’s all done, she’s left feeling incredibly soft, fluffy, and extra cuddly.

The Spitz duo came in for their pamper, and honestly, they are just the most gorgeous little pair. You really don’t see Spitz very often these days, which makes them even more special—those fluffy coats, fox-like faces; adorable!

Their owners love to keep them looking natural, so we focused on enhancing what’s already there—adding a soft roundness and tidiness through the chest and those adorable peachy bums, while still maintaining that full, fluffy Spitz style they wear so beautifully.

These two have the sweetest, quirkiest personalities and are completely inseparable. While one is up on the table, the other is always close by, popping up to check in and see what’s going on, eager for their turn. And the moment they’re back together, it’s pure excitement—little zoomies, wagging tails, and so much happiness, even though they’ve barely been apart. It’s honestly one of the cutest things to witness.

I absolutely adore grooming these boys and can’t wait to have them back in again for more cuddles and chaos!

𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑩𝑼𝑭𝑭𝒀🥹

Buffy the Cockapoo puppy came to see me for her very first pamper recently, and what a lovely introduction it was! Her big sister Star, the Cavapoo, is already an absolute pro and visits me every six weeks for her regular pampers, but for Buffy’s first visit we decided to prioritise her confidence and have her come in on her own. This one-to-one time really helped her settle in without any distractions, allowing her to focus on me while gently getting used to all the new sounds, smells, and sensations of the salon.

Buffy enjoyed her puppy groom, which included a relaxing bath, a careful blow-dry, and a tidy up of her face, feet, hygiene areas, and nails, all finished off with a lovely spritz. Puppy grooms are such a perfect way to introduce little ones to grooming, as they’re shorter and less overwhelming than a full groom. It gives them a chance to experience all the important steps without the need for a full clip, helping to build positive associations from the very beginning.

I’m so proud of how well Buffy did—she was calm, curious, and super brave throughout. Next time she visits, she’ll be coming along with her big sister Star, and I can’t wait to pamper the girls together and enjoy plenty of fluffy cuddles!
