🤎🐾 Coco 🐾🤎

Just look at this gorgeous girl! 😍 Coco is a regular here at Barking Bubbles, and seeing her little wagging tail coming through the door always makes me smile! She’s the sweetest soul, always so happy to see me, and I absolutely adore all the affection she gives me during her visits. Of course, I make sure she gets plenty of fuss and attention in return — it’s all part of the pamper experience! 🥰🫶🏻

Today, Coco came in for her full groom, starting with a lovely bath to get her coat squeaky clean, followed by a gentle blow-dry, a full trim and style, nail trim and a little spritz of perfume to finish. 🛁✂️✨

Coco’s coat was a little knotty today, so we had to take her slightly shorter than her usual teddy bear style to leave her looking and feeling her best. Keeping on top of tangles is so important for coat health and comfort, and sometimes a little change of length is needed to get those gorgeous curls back into tip-top condition. 🤎

But honestly, when you’re as cute as Coco, there’s no such thing as a bad haircut! 😍 She looks absolutely adorable, and I think she knows it too!

Another lovely pamper with this beautiful girl, and I’m already looking forward to our next cuddle-filled visit! 🐶💕

🤍☁️ Finn & Lily ☁️🤍

Oh, where do I even start with these two?! 😍 Finn and Lily visited Barking Bubbles for their very first pamper with me, and they were absolute ANGELS from start to finish! Such lovely personalities, so calm and well-behaved, and honestly just a pleasure to spend time with. 🥹🐾

In fact, Lily was so relaxed throughout her pamper that she happily lay down on the table while I gave her a thorough brush and blowout! If that isn’t the definition of a relaxing spa day, I don’t know what is! 🛁💕

These gorgeous Samoyeds came in for a deep-cleansing bubble bath and a VERY thorough de-shed. 🫧🤍 Samoyeds are a double-coated breed, meaning they have both an outer coat and a dense undercoat. As the seasons change, they naturally shed that undercoat, and this is where a proper de-shed makes all the difference!

Using a high-velocity dryer, we work to blow the loose, dead undercoat out to the surface before thoroughly brushing through the coat. We keep brushing and drying until we’ve removed as much loose hair as possible and ensured the coat is completely dry right down to the skin. And trust me, with these two, there was PLENTY of fluff to work through! 😂☁️

After bathing, drying, brushing and then brushing some more, we finished Finn and Lily off with some careful hand-scissoring all over to neaten everything up, whilst preserving their beautiful, classic Samoyed shape and that gorgeous fluffy finish. ✂️🤍 Just look at how adorable they are!

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first visit from these two. Such sweet souls, and I feel very lucky to have been trusted with their beautiful coats. 🥰

I can’t wait to welcome Finn and Lily back in a few weeks for their next pamper. More bubbles, more brushing and plenty more cuddles! 🛁🐾🤍

💚 𝑪𝑯𝑰𝑷 💚

Meet gorgeous little Chip, who visited Barking Bubbles today for his very first puppy pamper! 🛁🥰 And what a little sweetheart he was!

A puppy groom is such an important first step in setting your little one up for a lifetime of happy grooming. It’s all about introducing them to the sights, sounds and sensations of the salon in a gentle, positive way, building their confidence and helping them feel safe and comfortable for future visits. 🐶✨

Chip is a cross between an Australian Labradoodle and a Double Doodle, but he’s a little individual compared to the rest of his littermates! 🤎 While his siblings have the typical fluffy, curly coats, Chip has a much smoother, slightly wirier texture that’s a little more Spaniel-like. It just goes to show how unique every puppy can be!

For his first pamper, we kept things gentle and positive with a lovely bath, a gentle blow-dry, a tidy of his hygiene area and feet, a nail trim and a little spritz of perfume to finish him off. 🛁✂️

I’m so excited to see how Chip’s coat develops as he gets older. With such a unique little coat and plenty of personality, I think he’s going to be a very sweet boy to groom! And those gorgeous eyes… honestly, how could you not fall in love? 😍

Well done on your first pamper, Chip! ⭐️ I can’t wait to see you again soon and watch you grow into your grooming routine. 🐾

🐾🤎 Ted 🤎🐾

What a superstar this handsome boy was for his very first pamper with me! 🥰✂️

A few years ago, Ted had been shaved super short by a different groomer, which understandably made his pawrent a little nervous about trusting someone new with his gorgeous fluffy coat. So before his pamper, we had a full consultation to chat through exactly what they wanted, the length they felt comfortable with and the style that would suit Ted best. 🐶💕

Ted has such an interesting coat because he’s a mixture of Jack Russell and Poodle! 🐾 His fur is fluffy with a slight wave, but also has a little bit of that wiry texture, making him a real combination coat and slightly different to work with.

We talked everything through beforehand and I’m SO happy to say his pawrent was absolutely over the moon with the finished result! 🥹🤎 Ted was left fluffy, smart and exactly how they had pictured him looking — which is always the best feeling!

And Ted himself? An absolute superstar from start to finish! ⭐️ He took everything in his stride and was such a pleasure to pamper.

I can’t wait to see this gorgeous boy again soon for another pamper and freshen-up! 🛁✨

🎃🐾 Flossy🐾🎃

Just look at this gorgeous girl! 😍 Flossy is a beautiful Cockapoo who visits me regularly, and she is always such a happy little lady! She comes trotting into the salon with her tail wagging, ready for all the fuss, cuddles and pampering that come with her appointment. 🥰🐾

We start Flossy’s groom with a lovely whitening shampoo, helping to brighten and freshen up her beautiful coat. ✨ All of our shampoos are pH-balanced, vegan and made with naturally derived ingredients, so we can give every pup a lovely clean while taking care of their skin and coat. 🫧

Once her shampoo has been massaged through her coat and down to her skin, we gently rinse her with warm water before starting her blow-dry. First comes the high-velocity dryer to remove the excess water, followed by a gentle blow-dry while brushing and fluffing out all those gorgeous curls. 💨🐶

Before brushing, we always use our lovely lavender detangling spray, which helps loosen any little tangles and curls while leaving the coat silky smooth and easier to work with. 💜✨

Once Flossy is all fluffed up, she is clipped and styled to her owner’s preference — a lovely short body with slightly longer legs to give her that adorable teddy bear look. 🧸✂️

And can we just appreciate those gorgeous eyelashes?! 😍 I absolutely love how dark the outer edges of Flossy’s eyes are. It genuinely looks like this little girl is wearing eyeliner! 😂💅🏼

I can’t wait to see you again in 6 weeks for your next pamper, Flossy!🫧 See you soon, gorgeous girl! ❤️

🎃🐾 Mabel 🐾🎃

Oh my goodness… look at those eyes😍 Mabel is the most adorable little Cavapoo puppy, and just look at her gorgeous colouring! 🥹She is absolutely beautiful

Mabel recently visited Barking Bubbles for her first ever puppy pamper, and she was such a little superstar from start to finish. 🥰🐾

A puppy groom is such an important first step into the world of grooming. It’s all about introducing puppies to the different sights, sounds and sensations of the salon in a slow, controlled and positive way, helping them build confidence and setting them up for a lifetime of happy grooming experiences. 🫧✨

Mabel had a lovely gentle bath using our pH-balanced, vegan and sensitive products, followed by a blow-dry and full fluff-out of her gorgeous coat. We then gave her little face, feet and hygiene areas a tidy, along with a nail trim. ✂️🐾

Throughout her pamper we introduced her to the sounds and sensations she’ll experience during future full grooms, with lots of praise, cuddles and positive reinforcement along the way. 🥰

She did so incredibly well for such a tiny girl, and I’m already looking forward to watching her confidence grow as she gets used to her regular pampers! 💕🐶

And honestly… those eyes! 😍 I could have cuddled this little beauty all day! 🥹🫶🏼

🎃🐾 Dollie & Dottie 🐾🎃

Oh my gosh… how adorable are these two?! 😍 Dollie and Dottie are the sweetest little Show Cocker Spaniel puppies, and I am completely in love with them! 🥹💕

I felt so privileged to have them visit Barking Bubbles for their first ever puppy pampers, especially as they have two big sisters, Honey and Susie, who are also Barking Bubbles regulars! 🐶🐶 Their big sisters are such good girls, and Dollie and Dottie are following absolutely perfectly in their pawprints. 🥰

These two took everything in their stride! They weren’t bothered in the bath at all and happily enjoyed their lovely massaging shampoo treatment. 🫧 Their blow-dry was an absolute dream too! I popped a happy hoodie on each of them to help muffle the sound of the dryer and make the experience a little calmer and more comfortable, but honestly… neither girl seemed bothered whatsoever! 💕

They simply loved all the fuss and attention they received throughout their pampers, as well as getting to experience everything together. 🥹🐾

Their first puppy groom included a gentle bath, blow-dry and full fluff-out of their gorgeous coats, followed by a tidy of their paws, hygiene areas and nails. Their owners also wanted their legs tidied up a little, so we used some expert hand-scissoring to give them that extra polished finish while keeping them looking natural and puppy-cute. ✂️✨

These two are already coming back in 3 weeks for their first full groom, where we’ll take a little length off their gorgeous fluffy coats and start getting them into their regular grooming routine. 🥰

I honestly cannot wait to see them again and see how much they’ve grown! 💕🐾 Two very special little girls! 🫧✨

🎃🐾 Nayla 🐾🎃

Just look at this little sweetheart! 🥹 Nayla is the most adorable Border Terrier and regularly visits Barking Bubbles for her classic Border Terrier hand strip, helping to keep her gorgeous coat in tip-top condition. 🐾✂️

Nayla comes in every few months to keep on top of her coat, and she is honestly one of the most well-behaved Border Terriers I’ve ever had the pleasure of pampering. She is such a sweetheart and absolutely loves her cuddles afterwards! 🥰💕

Hand stripping is a specialist grooming technique that is particularly suited to wire-coated breeds such as Border Terriers, Airedales and Welsh Terriers. Instead of cutting the coat, the longer, dead outer hairs are carefully removed by hand, sometimes with the help of a stripping knife. This allows the new coat underneath to come through while helping to maintain that lovely natural, harsh and wiry texture that these breeds are known for. ✨

Clipping a wire coat can cause it to become softer and fluffier over time, and can change that lovely natural texture, which is why hand stripping is such a great option for keeping these coats in their best condition.

It does take considerably longer than clipping because each section of the coat is worked carefully and individually, but the result is so worth it! 🥰

Nayla has the classic Border Terrier hand-stripped look all over — her body, legs, tail, head and ears are all stripped, leaving her with those gorgeous little short eyebrows and her sweet little beard. 🥹🐶

She is honestly the cutest little girl and such a joy to pamper. I can’t wait to see Nayla again soon for another hand strip and keep her looking and feeling her absolute best! 💕🐾

🎃🐾 Minnie & Mabel 🐾🎃

These two gorgeous girls are very much part of the Barking Bubbles routine! 🥰 Minnie and Mabel visit me every 4 weeks, alternating between full grooms and mini grooms. This regular routine is the perfect way to keep their coats in tip-top condition, prevent any pesky tangles and, most importantly, allow their owners to keep them at exactly the length they love. ✨🐶🐶

Today was mini groom day! 🫧 They both had a lovely bath and blow-dry, followed by a full brush and fluff out to get their coats looking beautifully soft and fluffy.

We then tidied their faces, feet and hygiene areas, trimmed their nails and finished everything off with a little spritz. ✂️🐾✨

I absolutely love seeing these two so regularly — keeping on top of their coats often means they can stay looking gorgeous, comfortable and perfectly maintained all year round! 💕🫧

Millie 🤝🏻 Refusing to look at the camera

This adorable little Yorkshire Terrier recently visited Barking Bubbles for the first time, and would you believe she’s 8 years old?! 😍 She looks absolutely incredible!

Millie’s mum does a fantastic job of keeping her gorgeous coat in tip-top condition at home, so today was all about giving her a little freshen-up while keeping her usual style. ✨ We kept her body nice and short with longer legs, just taking everything back slightly to make her a little shorter and easier to maintain.

And just look at that classic Yorkie head! 🥹 With her perfectly tipped ears and that gorgeous, sharp jawline, she looks absolutely stunning. ✂️🐾

She was such a sweet girl throughout her pamper, even if she had absolutely zero interest in modelling for the camera afterwards! 🙈💕

Millie, you win. I’ll take the hint. No eye contact required. 🤣🎃🐶
