It is with the deepest sadness to write this but here goes.

After nearly 50 years of teaching children and adults to ride, we have had to make the sad decision to close the doors to Wyvenhoe Equestrian Club.

We would like to thank everyone especially the ponies over the years for making Wyvenhoe a memorable place for many.

Good Evening Everyone!

So some good news at last. Provisionally we will be able to re open for lessons on the 29th March 2021 following the latest Government announcement.

We would firstly like to thank each and everyone of you for helping us get through this very strange time. Since opening the site in 1972 we have never experienced a year like this. The kind donations have been greatly appreciated and have enabled us to keep the ponies cared for during this difficult time. So we thank you again for your generosity.

Secondly - Please bare with us in terms of booking lessons. The office is manned on a Wednesday and Saturday morning, if there is no answer when phoning please leave a message including your name and number and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Also please note there is a pay upon booking policy - this means your lesson slot is allocated on payment. As with our cancelation policy if you do need to change/cancel your booking please let us know at least 48 hours prior to your lesson.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Here Miss Money Penny and Coco are going out for a walk up the bridle way and back. It’s been pretty cold over the last couple of days, but the Wyvenhoe team are working hard to keep all horse happy 🙂

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

It pains us to do this but the third lockdown is really taking its toll on the riding centre. It couldn't have come at a worse time with all the extra feed that is required through the winter months. For this reason we have extended our fundraiser. We are incredibly grateful to all those who have already donated, and we are staying positive whilst looking forward to spring and better times.

It is a very difficult time for us all. Fingers crossed we can reopen soon. 🤞

Riding school owners say the current ban on riding lessons could leave them unable to afford their horses.

With another lockdown well underway, we still have the daily care of the horses as well as coping with the miserable weather.

We appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone, but if you are able to make any donation, we would all be incredibly grateful.

Good evening all,

We unfortunately find ourselves once again closing our doors in accordance with the new government guidelines. We will remain closed until further notice. We do hope to reopen with restrictions in place from mid February. Any bookings that have already been made will be rescheduled for when the site reopens.
