I’m not one to blow my own trumpet, I’m usually internally criticising each groom, picking fault with every little detail. I’ve been known to follow clients out the door with a pair of scissors as I see a strand of fur sticking out of place on their fluffy dog! Thankfully my clients are so lovely and let me get on with it.

Anyway, I received a surprise text from a client whose dog I’d groomed this week, letting me know that she’d had a number of strangers compliment her on how fabulous her dog looked! It’s little messages like these that help quiet the critic inside me.

If anyone would like to leave The Groomery a review on Facebook or Google, just know that next time I groom your dog, we’ll both be doing a little happy dance together!!

You may not realise it, but your dog builds a bond of trust with their groomer. A good groomer observes your dog’s behaviour and works with them to ensure grooming is carried out safely, calmly, and with care whilst they are in the salon. Keeping your dog on a regular grooming schedule not only helps maintain a healthy coat, but it also gives your groomer the chance to notice any changes or potential health concerns that may otherwise go unnoticed. We’re always looking out for your furry family members and their wellbeing ❤️
