It's been a tough year for many in our farming community. Alongside the everyday challenges that farming brings, the Bluetongue outbreak has added extra worry, uncertainty and pressure for farmers and their families.

If you're struggling, please remember it's OK not to be OK! Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness - we all need a bit of support. Farming can be very isolating, and when times are hard it can feel like you have to carry the burden alone - You don't...
There are some fantastic organisations that understand the unique pressures faced by farming families and are here to help. All of these services are completely free and confidential.

RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) provides free, confidential mental health support for farming people, including a 24/7 helpline on 0800 188 4444.

FCN (The Farming Community Network) offers practical and emotional support through its confidential helpline on 03000 111 999 - from 7am to 11pm.

Shout (The Hawkstone Foundation) offers 24/7 support by text - text HAWKSTONE to 85258, making it even easier to reach out if picking up the phone feels difficult.

Please don't suffer in silence. Whether it's a phone call, a text message or simply talking to someone you trust, reaching out can make a real difference. There are people who understand, people who care, and people ready to listen. ❤️

Meet Emily, our new Farm Vet! 👋

Hi, I'm Emily. I'm from Wellington, Somerset and I've recently graduated from Surrey University.
My family are all from a medical background making me a bit of a black sheep choosing farm life, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have already come across some familiar faces from when I was a student with the practice in January.
In my free time you will catch me hiking on coastal paths & Dartmoor.

I am excited to get stuck in and am looking forward to meeting you all.
