Hi there, I'm Eilidh Cunningham, proud proprietor of OzWalks Pet Services and owner of a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog called Isla. My husband and I have recently returned to Scotland from Australia and Isla has made the journey with us. Whilst in Australia I got involved with local pet fostering charities, collecting/making donations for cats and dogs in foster care. I also assisted a local dog walker with walks during busy walk days. With my passion for pets and a love of the outdoors, it got me thinking that, after 20 years of sitting on an office chair, I should do this, although admittedly, the weather won't always be so pleasant in Scotland. What better time to introduce OzWalks Pet Services having recently returned from a 2 year stay in Australia.

This guy needs a post of his own

Sadly due to continued poor health, we have to say a fond farewell to Ace.

Ace joined OzWalks over 4 years ago and his character is unforgettable. The smallest of dogs with the courage of a lion and an unwavering amount of energy, Ace loved nothing more than chasing, rolling in leaves and making himself heard in every group walk he ever joined.

In recent months he has suffered from some health issues which have required vetinary care and the difficult decision was made by his owners to retire him from walks.

Walks won't be the same without you, a little quieter perhaps but you will be missed. 🐕🐾❤️

Welcome to the weekend

We had some lovely dry days this week but with the amount of rainfall we have had, everywhere is now very muddy and full of puddles which EVERYONE is delighted with. 🙈🤣

It is such a joy to watch them enjoy the freedom of puddle jumping and running into a stream which is now so deep they can practically swim in it. It is less fun having to dry them afterwards but who am I to deny them.

The autumn leaves create such a colourful blanket on our woodland walks. 🍂🍁

We had a couple of additions this week with Bear who enjoyed some walks in Morgan Glen, Fred who joined his family Amber, Toari and Biscuit, Travis who accompanied cousins Winnie and Bago finally Zorro who received daily cat visits.

We get to do it all again next week. 😁

Welcome to Friday
We managed a good run of dry days this week and jackets were ditched, today however was a different story with a couple of downpours.

This week we welcomed Ace back from a prolonged absence, new boy Cooper who joins his cousin Alfie on Wednesday walks. We had a few extra days with Bella whist her family are on holiday and welcomed back Fred who joins mum, auntie and sister for a week. Mum Amber however managed to get me into trouble with her parents for having a full body roll in 🦊💩. I was told I was fired but I have since been reinstated 🤣🤣 . I've lost count of the amount of times I've been fired and reinstated. All in good fun

Sending much love to Winnie who is recovering from an op and we hope to see her join us again soon.

Loving the woodland walks with the autumn leaves, it's so peaceful, unless of course Ace is on this walk. He's a yapper 😁

Happy Friday folks

It's been a much quieter week this week as I've had not 1, not 2 but 10 of my regular dogs off in some capacity or other this week. Whilst sickness and late cancellations cannot be helped, having such a large number of dogs off at 1 time has a significant impact financially on a small business.

A polite reminder that where possible, please give at least 2 weeks notice if you have planned holidays in order that I can plan my diary and budget accordingly.

That said, we had some lovely walks this week with the weather playing nice. Still very muddy underfoot and I did manage to fall at the side of a rather large puddle 🙈 but thankfully not in it 🤣

We had a couple of additions including Ollie the spaniel whilst his usual walker is on holiday, former regulars Luna and Ghost made an appearance this week and Tilly the cat was a welcome visit for a few days.

Everyone should now have received my holiday notification but just in case you've misplaced it, as follows

Thurs 5th November - Fri 20th November. Walks resume Monday 23rd November

Thur 24th December - Fri 1st Jan. Walks resume Monday 4th Jan.

It's been a week of 2 halves this week. Mother nature has been playing tricks on us giving us 2 beautiful days in between 3 days of absolute downpours.

It certainly doesn't stop them from making the most of what gets thrown at us. The more it rains, the bigger the puddles 💦🤷🏻‍♀️ who am I to deny them such enjoyment.

It seems everyone is familiar with all the treat stops though as can be seen from the pics there are lots of noses in the air waiting for a treat.

The weeks are flying by. I often forget to take pics as I'm too busy enjoying the moments with my furry companions but when we have treat stops, water breaks or a sit down, it's the perfect time to catch their antics

Blue is doing brilliantly on a long line but tends to get a bit carried away when we get to water and we get our feet tangled on the line 🙈 How I haven't ended up in the water along side them is a mystery. 🤣

Harry had a mishap yesterday when he ran to splash in a puddle and missed, somersaulted over it and landed in mud. He was ever so proud of himself whilst his brother looked on in disgust.

We also saw the return of Romeo who has been off for a number of weeks recovering from surgery so it was great to have him back.

Happy Friday folks

For the most part it's been a lovely week of walks but our afternoon walks featured some very soggy doggies and a very wet walker 💦🌧️ thanks to downpours of biblical proportions.

Some walks were too wet to take pictures so here are the few I did manage to get.

Suffice to say everyone enjoyed puddle jumping and we made it to the end of the week with sunshine, thankfully 😁

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll see all my furry friends on Monday. 🐾🐕

Where do the weeks go, here we are Friday again.

We've had some great walks this week but we did get caught in the odd downpour.

We are missing some regulars some of whom are recovering from surgeries and illness. We would like to wish Ace, Romeo and Biscuit speedy recoveries and we hope to see them back out very soon.
