Lots of memories over the past 14 years of kennels, some more memorable than others. Not naming any dogs but some of you recognise your dog/s fitting into one of the following points may

• Those that seem to think their name is ‘biscuit’
• The dogs that come with better meals than me!
• One that gave me 4 or 5 socks over the weekend
• The one that I spent over 2 hours trying to get in from the secure paddock
• The one that walked itself here from the next village
• The one that came with a feather pillow – and showed me how many feathers were in it
• Those that managed to catch a squirrel – then repeated it the following year too
• Those that have caught a pheasants that landed in the secure paddock while they were in
• The one that landed me in urgent care as I tried opening it mouth to get a pheasant out
• Those that showed me how many pieces a dog bed can be chewed into
• Those that are drama queens (or kings!)
• The ones that have mistaken my legs for a toilet
• Those that you could do with some of whatever they are on!
• Those good at singing (howling)
• Those that get such a grip on toys you can spend ages trying to convince them to drop them
• Those that make mealtimes look like a game of hungry hippos!
• Those that could play football or head the ball back to me
• The ones that jump out of owners cars and run straight to door to wait to go in
• The ones that show their excitement to see me with their ‘lipstick’!
• The ones that moult enough hair to be able to make something!
• The biggest dogs that are scared of small ones – and the small ones that think they are as big as the big ones
• Those that are deaf or old and are still solidly asleep when you go in their kennel making you panic then they jump up and run off as though nothing happened
• Those that think if they lie in the grass and cant see you that you cant see them
• Those that like to sleep under their bedding rather than on it
- Those that like to sniff/count every blade of grass while on a walk
-Those that would find the only patch of nettles/thistles to p**p in
-The ones that could 'talk' to you
-Those that have an excited wee when see you/someone new
-Those that think they should walk on 2 legs not four!
- Those that get a mouthful of food out of their dish and drop it on the floor so they can eat it from there instead
- The one that would wait until the day of collection to chew his bed to bits, rendering it unfit for purpose

Think of any that I have missed let me know!
