Thank you so much to each and every one of my clients who have supported me during my time at VP Pets! My last day there will be the 29th of August. All appointments until this date are unaffected and my diary is still open. Any appointments booked after this date will be contacted🐾

I will be joining the team at Lune Dog Grooming, Lancaster from the 3rd of Sept. I would be absolutely over the moon if you follow my journey here and still continue to choose me to pamper your pooches🥰

Meet the gorgeous Fabian! 🐾✨

I have to admit, I’m a little partial to German Shepherds because I own one myself, so they always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

Fabian visits every month for his regular de-shed, and it makes such a difference. Removing all that loose undercoat not only keeps shedding around the house to a minimum, but also helps him stay cooler, cleaner, and much more comfortable during the warmer weather.

If your double-coated dog is leaving fur everywhere or struggling in the heat, a professional de-shed can make a world of difference. Regular grooming keeps their coat healthy, their skin in great condition, and your home a little less hairy too! 🐶✨

This week saw the start of saffrons new business within Lune Dog Grooming. As many hairdressers “rent a chair” dog groomers “rent a table”.
Simply Grooming by Saffron will see Saffron begin to grow her own business. Being a business owner is not for the faint hearted- there will be challenges along the way but I am sure you can tell from the work below that Saffron is going to thrive.
Please note: nothing changes for customers - contact saffron as normal to arrange your dogs grooming appointment and we will see you at the salon soon. 🐶❤️

This amazing pair of humans “Beat the Bay”- running a half marathon is to be applauded - running a half marathon across Morecambe Bay, over sand, wading through a channel of running water upto their thighs and completing it with smiles on their faces….well I have no words except huge congratulations to you both and all your fellow runners. Thank you Lindsey and Chris from the bottom of my heart for taking on this challenge on behalf of Lune Dog Grooming. You absolutely smashed it and should be so proud of yourselves.

Another Sunday = another training/education session. This time “just round the corner” with Behind the Brush dog grooming education on all things scissor and tools.
We invest heavily in our ongoing education in order to always be improving our knowledge and skills so that we can offer the best service we can to our customers- every day’s a school day!. 🐶❤️

Over the next few days we are expecting some very high temperatures- if you have appointments with us after midday - please don’t walk them to us. Even short walks for dogs can compromise their air ways particularly those with short noses like Shih tsus, french bulldogs, elderly or dogs with health conditions and puppies.
A short car ride is much better than a walk in this weather.
If you wish to re-schedule your appointment please let us know as soon as possible.
When they do arrive in the salon we will have the air con on, plenty of water available and we will be using our dryers on cooler settings.

Another Sunday and another training day for Saffron & myself. This time a trip to Huddersfield to the Artero UK headquarters for training with the very entertaining & knowledgeable Costin Stoica and Cheryl Howard (both from Groom team England)
Valuable training on when to handstrip wire haired terriers and importantly when not to, techniques and tools, and techniques for perfecting pet trims on Bedlington terriers. That’s our terrier training under our belts for this year. Updating our skills and learning from the best in our profession is so important for our continued professional development and more importantly so that we can deliver the best service to our customers and the dogs we groom. Every day’s a school day 🐶❤️
