🐾 World Arthritis Day | 12 October 🐾

Did you know that arthritis can affect pets too?

Osteoarthritis is a painful condition caused by degeneration and inflammation of the joints. Signs can be subtle, but stiffness, limping, struggling to jump, difficulty with stairs or reluctance to go for walks can all be signs that your pet may be experiencing joint pain.

While arthritis isn’t curable, there are lots of ways we can help manage pain, improve mobility and keep your pet comfortable and active. 💙

If you’ve noticed changes in your pet’s movement, don’t put it down to “just getting older”. We’re here to help.

❤️ Lest We Forget

At this time of year, we remember those who have gone before us and those who continue to serve today. Animals have also played an integral role alongside people throughout history, serving with courage and loyalty.

A special thank you to Fiona Sirrell at Lesmahagow for creating these beautiful handmade poppies, with donations collected in support of Poppy Scotland and the vital work they do to support Scotland’s Armed Forces community. If you're in Lesmahagow this month, you can pick one up !🌺

We have had an entire male black and white cat handed into our lanark branch this morning. He has unfortunately been hit by a car and hasn’t made it. He was found at cairn lodge services. If you think this may be your cat or have any information please call us on 01555 660000

We’d be lost without them Our pets can bring comfort, encourage us to get outside, help us stick to a routine, and remind us to slow down and enjoy the present. 💙

Today, we’re celebrating all the little ways our furry friends can make life a little brighter and the positive impact they can have on our wellbeing. 💙

🐾 A very special first visit to Lesmahagow! 🐾
These two wee pups had the sweetest surprise when they arrived at our Lesmahagow branch for their first vaccinations… they were littermates! 🥹❤️
Both pups had been welcomed into their new homes by two different families, completely unaware that their brother/sister would be at the practice at the exact same time.
What are the chances of accidentally being reunited for their very first vet visit?! 🐶🐶💉
Safe to say, they were very happy to see a familiar face, even if neither of them quite understood just how special their reunion was! 🥰
We hope you both have the most wonderful lives with your new families! ❤️
