Another MASSIVE thank you from the Celaeron Team!🐴
What a day – and what an incredible team of people helped make it happen.
We simply couldn’t run our competitions without our wonderful volunteers. Your vouchers are on their way, but they hardly begin to express how grateful we are. We genuinely had the Dream Team today!
A huge thank you to Emma Brooke, Cain, Olivia Grace Jones, Bridget Boyce (whose accurate, beautifully legible scoring and excellent company made Emma’s job so much easier) & Tracy Evans (who somehow managed to be everywhere she was needed, whenever she was needed!)
And a special thank you to the two spectators who spontaneously offered to help and completed what was already a fabulous arena party. That really meant a lot to us. And a thank you to the spectators in the seating who clapped every round and helped make today's atmosphere!
We’re also genuinely humbled by the number of competitors who chose to support our very first Show Jumping competition at Celaeron Equestrian. Thank you for putting your trust in us. Whatever your result today, we truly hope you and your horses enjoyed your day and went home wanting to come back.
On a more serious note, we would like to remind everyone that our stewards are volunteers. They generously give up their own time so that competitions like ours can take place, and they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
Volunteers are the backbone of equestrian sport – not only at unaffiliated competitions, but throughout grassroots British Showjumping, British Dressage and British Eventing. Without volunteer stewards, our sport simply could not function.
At Celaeron, we want to provide competitions where every horse and rider combination, at every level, is valued, welcomed and encouraged, and we expect the same respect to be extended to the people who give their time to make those competitions possible.
We would therefore ask all competitors to familiarise themselves with Points 6, 16 & 17 of our Terms & Conditions of Entry.
That said, we’ve finished today tired, extremely grateful and already looking forward to doing it all again!
Our next Unaffiliated Show Jumping is Saturday, 19th September, followed by the start of our Show Jumping Winter League on Sunday 11th October. 🏆
Thank you to everyone who competed, volunteered, supported, shopped, ate, watched and helped make our first show jumping competition such a memorable one.
See you next time! 💚
