Meet our storyteller for Dark Skies & Old Tales ππ₯
Mary Kenny has been telling stories across the Borders for over thirty years. She's a storyteller and visual artist who has performed at Traquair House, Bowhill House and Duns Castle, and at the Scottish International Storytelling Festival and the Borders Book Festival. She has worked with everyone from nursery children to elders, and with organisations like Historic Scotland, RNIB and Borders Forest Trust.
By the fire at Quarry Farm, Mary will bring Borders myths and legends to life: selkies, giants, fairies and ghosts, some funny and some gruesome, with riddles, tunes and ballads woven through β¨
For Mary, a good story creates a "well of being," a place where teller and listener connect. We can't think of a better place for it than under the stars with our rescued horses π΄
