Clanmill Welsh Ponies is a family based Stud based n the Shropshire/Hereford/Powys border. All our ponies are bred from excellent bloodlines, and we aim to produce ponies with correct conformation, extravagant movement and lovely temperaments. Colour is important too and we love our palomino's, buckskins, chestnuts, blacks, and bays - in fact all colours including the true Welsh grey! We also like

a lot of white! Many of our foals are very striking with four white stockings and very pretty heads. Here at Clanmill we have our fabulous old Section A stallion Friars Osbek who is now 23 and behaves like a 2yo! He has terrific bone and powerful movement and a fabulous Welsh head and eye. Pontgam Supreme x Friars Rebecca. Our Section B stallion is our young up and coming cremello boy Richvale Orion - Locksley Don Galliano x Cadlanvalley Ophelia (Russetwood Elation) He is a big boy with the most fabulous temperament, bags of bone, a lovely head and extravagant movement. We think he is a future superstar and can’t wait to see him out under saddle. This year (2021) we are expecting 1 section A foal out of our wonderful old mare Beacons Little Poppet x Osbek, and 5 Section B foals. Orion’s first foal out of Melau Sheer Joy, both Moelview Serenade and Mompesson Aida are in foal to Mynach Sea Scout, Stockham Diamond is in foal to Llanarth White Tiger and last but not least Clanmill Sweet Dreams is in foal to Paddock Romance. We are excited to see who arrives! We often have youngstock available and all this years foals will be for sale.

Well it's a wrap! Clanmill Stud Closure
After 30 years of breeding my special Section B's (and A's initially too) I have just sold my last Clanmill Pony.
How strange it is, but I now feel 100% confident that I am doing the right thing and that the time is right. It's been an incredible journey and a life time's passion from that very special day when my parents bought me my first pony, Mischief (a very mischievous New Forest Pony! 😅) to today.
I had immense fun with my children and the ponies for all those years whilst they were growing up, and I am thrilled that Immy is carrying on and having great fun with her children and a lovely little Section A called Gary 😊 They've just had the best fun ever at Pony Club Camp and to see the smiles on my Grand Kids faces is what it is all about..
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me, believed in my breeding, invested in my ponies and enjoyed and had success with the ponies I've bred. I can't tell you how much pleasure it gives me to get updates on their activities, successes and the fun they've had with them.
I am now moving into another phase of my life with a little more freedom (?) and I've even got my paint brushes and easel out with a view to re-kindling my creative side! Watch this space! 😂 and of course I shall carry on with my photography, another passion.
Thank you all again and although I won't have any ponies of my own anymore I shall continue to follow the progress of the ones I've bred..
I do have a lot of pony related gear available - if anyone wants anything do get in touch. Everything must go....Plus I also have my Ifor Williams 505 trailer that will also be sold if anyone is interested.

This outstanding c**t is the very last Clanmill Pony to be offered prior to the studs closure in October. Previously snapped up at birth but unfortunately the purchaser has recently had to back out for personal health reasons, hence he has become re-available.
This c**t has it all - quality, type, substance, movement, conformation, colour and a beautiful head. In the right hands he is sure to have a very bright future ahead of him. A real eye catcher who just seems to get better and better by the day!

Sadly this beautiful c**t is unexpectedly available having originally been sold when only a few days old. Unfortunately the purchasers have had to back out due to personal health issues.
We believe Fin is something very special and as he is maturing he doesn't disappoint.
We are looking for an exceptional home for him where his potential initially in hand, and ultimately under saddle, can be realised. We also think with his breeding he has the makings of a very valuable stallion in the future.

I am looking for the very best of homes for this beautiful yearling filly.
She measures about 13hh - anticipated to make approx 14hh.
Excellent free mover and with her flashy presence is a real eye catcher.
Almost in show condition now and has a fabulous temperament. Would be great fun to show this year. If plaited she would also show well as a SHP
Ultimately she’ll be a fabulous kids best friend or with her breeding a valuable broodmare .

A beautiful filly measuring 13.3hh now and anticipated to make full up 14hh. A true four square pony with excellent bone, movement and quality. Sure to excel under saddle as a competition pony or full up SHP. Grand daughter of Clanmill Leteika Miracle who won HOYS in 2021. She would also make a fabulous broodmare to breed up to height Section B's with the right stallion, or of course Partbreds. Well handled, loads, good with farrier and has a lovely temperament.

Danni is a beautiful filly, a very extravagant mover and full of quality with a great future ahead of her in the right hands. Unfortunately she had an accident as a foal and has a scar on the inside of her off fore. This healed very quickly and doesn't affect her in any way and being grey and on a white stocking would be easily chalked up. Vet's certificate can be provided. This filly has a wonderful temperament and will make the most fabulous Childs' pony. She is big and we think will mature to 14hh. Prior to backing she would be great fun to show as she is a real eye catcher. With her breeding she too would make a lovely broodmare
Both the ponies are sensibly priced to the right loving, long term homes.

This mare is incredible and I love her to bits. I think this year at the age of 17 she is looking and feeling the best ever! Dam of this years stunning palomino c**t, C. Grand Finalé, born just over a week ago. Also the Dam of C. Celtic Dream, C. Dream On, C. Dare to Dream and C. Pen Blwydd Hapus. What a mare she has been for me, but she's also the sweetest most gentle mare ever. I shall certainly miss her when she leaves for pastures new. She will be the last of my homebred broodmares to leave.

I am looking for an exceptional home for this very special c**t. Our very last Clanmill foal, and I think he is going to be a little superstar! He''s beautifully put together as can be seen already at just one week old. He has a beautiful head, and fantastic limbs. I am mentioning this now as I know I will want to keep him 🙈 so the sooner I find his perfect home, the safer I'll be!! As the stud will be closing down at the end of the summer, in reality I simply cannot keep him!
I rate this c**t very highly. Clanmill foals have done incredibly well in hand including winning the Winter Fair on the last two occasions we have shown there - I feel sure that in the right hands this little chap is sure to follow in their footsteps.
He is a beautiful colour and should make full up to height 13.2hh, so will therefore make a very valuable ridden M&M in the future. His sire is a successful performance pony in both dressage and jumping so Finalé has that in his genes too. He would of course ultimately make a valuable stud stallion.

A beautiful filly with fantastic bone and movement. A proper four square pony who has been left to mature and is now ready to slowly start her education. In the right hands Lace has the potential to make a fabulous Competition Pony/SHP/WHP/Eventer or Dressage Pony. She is a workmanlike pony who really covers the ground., and would therefore equally well suit a child or small adult. Well handled, good with the farrier, loads and travels well, easy to catch etc. Lace has a lovely kind and bold temperament. Measuring around 13.3hh to make approx 14hh.

I feel she could turn her hoof to anything asked of her. She is very bright and loves to learn. Very well handled, she loads and travels well, is easy to catch, good with the farrier etc . She is a big filly and I think she will mature to approx 14hh.
