Yesterday, for my Advanced Scentwork Scholars skills night, we looked at the value our dogs have for the verbal search cue.

Here is Sal, sniffing her heart out and working like a pro ❤️ really enjoyed watching this, I hope you do too!

Last Thursday, we did some troubleshooting selection practice with different teams. Each team came with their own questions and challenges. Then came away with ideas on how to progress ❤️

This is gorgeous Peg, where we are working out what set up works best for her to be successful!

After The European Open Championships, we're back sniffing!!!

Today I ran a workshop looking at some skills and set ups themed around "confidence" - we did awkward spaces, blank searches, double blinds and more.

Thanks to the teams who came and were fabulous! ❤️💪🏼🐾

🎉🐾 Spaces available on the upcoming Vay Coltrose training days! 🎉🐾

Hosted at Puppy Plus training barn in Newtown, Vay is coming to deliver some interesting and inspiring Heelwork To Music workshops.

Aimed at any level (from never competed to advanced), Vay loves figuring out what each individual team needs to progress, making it clear to the human as well as the dog.

A mix of group work and one to ones, a really friendly community made up of a variety of levels.

Last night we had a "Silly Sniff" - four challenges, all testing different things, 8 teams competing.

We looked at indication, clearing areas, blank searches (though they didn't know they were blank) and selection boxes (with a twist of working someone else's dog double blind).

It was street rules, Texas hold 'em carnage. And honestly we laughed a lot.

Congratulations guys, I loved it 🎉❤️

Today I ran a Foundation trial for The National Nosework Association and the standard of sniffing was really high!

6 teams, everyone going home with at least two badges. Great work!

The challenges I set were all "earlier than you might expect" hides, but that didn't actually cause a huge amount of problems. You guys trusted your dogs and worked the areas really well.

Congratulations to...

No classes this week, I had a week of planned holiday which is actually a bloody good thing because it's due to be plus 30's this week so I'd of been cancelling and rearranging anyway.

Off to spend some time with the family and my own dogs ❤️

Keep your dogs safe and hydrated! Watch out for the emails and WhatsApp group, time off classes means time working on booking, arranging and sorting 🤞🏼
