Heatstroke in dogs can be fatal โ and it can happen far quicker than many people realise โ๏ธ๐พ
Dogs cannot sweat like humans and rely mainly on panting to cool themselves down. In warm weather, their body temperature can rise dangerously fast, even after short walks or time spent outside.
Please watch for signs such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, wobbling, or collapse.
Prevention is key:
๐ง Keep water available
๐ณ Provide shade and cool areas
๐ซ Avoid peak heat walks
๐พ Never leave dogs in cars
Keeping cool isnโt just comfort โ itโs safety.
