🐾 Lola’s little adventure! 🐾

Cheeky Labrador Lola managed to get herself into a bit of a pickle while playing with a horse treat ball… somehow getting it firmly lodged around her jaw! 😳

Stuart and Lottie were faced with quite the challenge as, despite their best efforts, that ball just wasn’t going anywhere! 🙈

Stuart had to reach for a handy tool and, with some very careful and skilful sawing, finally managed to free Lola. 🛠️🐶

Don’t worry though — Lola was safely sedated throughout, so she wasn’t in any pain or discomfort while Stuart worked his magic. Thankfully, she was soon back to her usual happy self and was all sorted and heading home in time for the weekend! 🩷

We think Lola might be sticking to her normal dog toys from now on! 😂🐾

🎂 Cake, chaos & very patient clients! 😂 🩵

A HUGE thank you to all our amazing clients for being so patient and understanding with us yesterday. It was one of those days where the diary had to be completely re-jigged at short notice while we dealt with emergency surgery, and you were all so accommodating. We really do appreciate it! 🥰

And then came the best bit… CAKE! 🎂🙌

A massive thank you to Joe’s lovely owner for baking this gorgeous cake for the team. It was actually intended for Stuart… but Mel may have waded in on the action by casually mentioning that it was her birthday today! 😂🙈

The cake arrived yesterday, but after the day we’d had, there was absolutely no time to sit down and enjoy it — so today we’re making up for it! 😂🍰

Thank you so much for such a lovely treat. We’ll be enjoying every last bit of it today! 🩷

And thank you again to all our wonderful clients for bearing with us yesterday. Your patience and understanding on a very busy day really does mean a lot to the whole team. 💕

‼️‼️ MISSING CAT – PLEASE KEEP A LOOK OUT ‼️‼️

Stanley is one of our lovely clients, and his family are very worried as he hasn’t been seen since 4th August. 🩵

Stanley is 10 years old, neutered and microchipped and was last seen around the Blackbird Avenue area of Knaresborough.

If you live locally, please keep an eye out for him and check your gardens, sheds, garages and outbuildings in case he has wandered into somewhere he can’t get out of.

If you have seen Stanley or have any information, please message us here at the practice or call us on 01423 900770. We’re open Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6:30pm.

Please share and help us get Stanley home to his family. 🐾 🩵

🐾 Bruce the Brave! 🐾

Bruce has been a real champ recently after undergoing a pinnectomy, a surgical procedure to remove a lump from his ear flap. This involved removing a significant portion of the affected ear, followed by careful closure to allow it to heal nicely.

Just a few days later, Bruce came back in for his post-op check and we were so impressed with how well it was looking! You’d think his surgery had been weeks ago rather than just a few days! 🥰

And Bruce was VERY pleased to see the back of his shower cap that he had to wear initially to protect his ear! 😂😂

He’s doing brilliantly and we couldn’t be happier with his progress.

Way to go, Bruce! 🩵 🐾

🌸 BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND REMINDER 🌸

🐾 Meet the very handsome Duke🐾

Duke recently came to see Phil for surgery to correct a lower eyelid entropion, where the eyelid rolls inwards and the lashes can rub against the eye. Phil performed the procedure and Duke was a real champ throughout! 🩵

We did have to think ahead for Duke’s recovery though… being a rather large Rhodesian Ridgeback, our kennels weren’t quite going to cut it! 😂 So Duke enjoyed a very comfy stay in our X-ray room, otherwise known as the penthouse recovery suite! 🏠🐶

He wasn’t too impressed with his head collar at first, but he soon learnt to navigate it like a pro!

We were delighted to see Duke back recently for his recheck, and he and his owners are doing an amazing job with his recovery. He’s looking fantastic 😊
