Just a little reminder to all my lovely clients that I’ll be on holiday from Monday 6th and will be back to work on Monday 13th.

During this time, I may be slower than usual to reply to messages, but I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can when I return.

🐾 Bailey is definitely not impressed today! After his emergency surgery, he’s now on strict box rest for the next two weeks, which anyone who knows Bailey will know is not his idea of fun.

No running around, no adventures, and to make matters even worse (according to Bailey), I’ve had to put him in a baby grow to protect his stitches. Safe to say he’s giving me some very unimpressed looks right now! 😅

Here’s hoping that by the end of these two weeks he’ll still like me and forgive me for all the indignities I’m putting him through. For now, it’s lots of rest, cuddles, and recovery time for my little shadow. ❤️🐶

💙 A massive thank you to all of my clients today for your understanding and patience while my poor old man, Bailey, had to undergo emergency surgery.

It has been a very stressful day, but thankfully the surgery went well, and we’re hopeful that he will make a good recovery. 🐾

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Gemma at K9 Caperz Angus for keeping me calm and being such a great friend and support throughout the day.

Everyone who knows me knows I shouldn’t have favourites, but Bailey has always been my little shadow and holds a very special place in my heart. ❤️

Thank you all again for your kindness, understanding, and well wishes—it means more than you know. 🐶💙

🌦️ Scottish Summer… or all four seasons in one day! 🐴

One minute it’s sunshine, the next it’s pouring rain, and before you know it, the hailstones are making an appearance! With the weather changing so quickly, it’s important to keep an extra eye on our horses.

🌧️ Make sure rugs are still suitable for the conditions
☀️ Check they have access to shade and plenty of fresh water
🪰 Keep on top of flies when the warmer spells appear
🌱 Monitor grazing as the grass can change quickly with the mix of rain and sunshine
❤️ And don’t forget those daily health checks to make sure your horse is happy and comfortable

Our horses don’t seem to mind the unpredictable weather as much as we do, but a little extra care goes a long way during these constantly changing conditions.

Stay dry, stay safe, and enjoy the moments of sunshine when they appear! ☀️🐴

🐴 When does “cute and fluffy” become “a bit too fluffy”? 🐴

This time of year the grass is growing fast, and it’s easy for our ponies to pile on the pounds without us noticing.

One of my own ponies is looking a little rounder than I’d like, so it’s time to keep a closer eye on grazing, exercise, and body condition. As much as they act like they’re starving, most ponies are experts at convincing us they need more food than they actually do! 😂

Keeping our horses and ponies at a healthy weight isn’t just about appearance – it helps reduce the risk of health problems such as laminitis and keeps them feeling their best.

So be honest… who’s got a chunky monkey in the field at the moment? 👀🐴
