Just to let everyone know shop will close at 17:00 tomorrow its only one hours earlier than normal
And back open Saturday as normal thats all our orders in cages toys other supply's enough to keep you all going while we are away🍻☀️☀️☀️☀️

☀️ Holiday Notice – Benidorm Bound! 🇪🇸

Hi everyone!

As many of you know, our holiday is fast approaching — we'll be heading to Benidorm on 5th September! 😁

The shop will remain OPEN, so you'll still be able to get all your animal essentials. 🐾 My parents will be holding the fort, Mark will be in the background, and our other staff member will be in on certain days to lend a hand.

Please bear with the oldies during this week! 😂

A few small changes while we're away:

- Shop hours: 10am–4pm Tues to Fri
- Monday closed as usual
- Saturday and Sunday open as usual
- Mark may pop in some evenings and keep the shop open until 6pm when possible (he'll update Facebook as and when).
- We personally won't be replying to Facebook messages during the holiday, although Mark will do his best if he can.

This break is really needed, and we plan to make the most of our time away. Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support — we really appreciate it! ❤️

Hi folks! 👋

It’s Monday night, and that means tank maintenance night! 🐟

Although we’re constantly checking the tanks, doing top-ups and carrying out little jobs every day, Mondays are when Mark (the fish man 😂) spends the best part of 6 hours giving the tanks a full maintenance session.

That includes water changes, cleaning, checking everything is working as it should and taking care of anything that needs doing to keep the tanks in tip-top condition and looking clean and tidy. 💦✨

It’s been fantastic hearing the feedback from our regular customers about how clean and well-maintained the tanks always look — and that’s mainly down to Mark’s time, hard work and dedication. 👏

We’ve also been updating and improving the tanks over the last few weeks, and we have to say, they’re looking fantastic! 😍🐠

A massive well done to Mark for all the hard work he puts in! 💪🐟

New aquarium racks are finally in and finished! 💪

Giving us 6 more tanks in the same wall space and gets the lower tanks raised up off the floor.

We considered professional retail rack systems but we have stuck with all individual tanks which helps us keep each fish in more ideal water parameters and provides excellent disease control over connected tanks.

The new tanks also use hamburg matten filters which are essentially a massive sponge filter with increased filtration capacity, I've also built these to hide all the heaters, cables and airlines out of the tank making catching fish easier and less stressful.

The whole shop now also runs on a single large air pump! 💪

Bags of pre-cycled media and bottled bacterial have gone in the last few tanks today, ready for more fish arriving next week!

We now have a 4ft bay empty on the planted rack which we are having 2x 2ft x 2ft tanks made for bigger fish soon! 🐟
