I want to start by saying that I’m sorry to have to take this stance. However, following an incident involving aggressive behaviour towards me, and as this was not the first time I’ve experienced a similar situation with similar breeds, I need to introduce the following preventative safety policy to ensure the wellbeing of everyone involved.

Cane Corso, mastiff-type dogs, dogs trained in protection, guard, or bite work, or any dog showing signs of aggression or distress will be required to wear a muzzle 'before' they enter my property. This requirement is purely preventative and is not a reflection of your dog’s personality or temperament.

Ultrasound scanning involves close proximity, and this policy helps protect both you, and myself as a scanner. If muzzling is not possible, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. Clients are responsible for providing their own well-fitting muzzle for the appointment.

Due to non payers if you wish to pay by bank transfer this must be in my account before you attend for your ultrasound. Sadly some people spoil it for everyone else.

Warning to fellow scanners - Peter Ward mobile ending 161 with a mini dachshund - ignoring all messages and telephone calls and I am guessing he will want another scan in a few weeks as he is a first time breeder.

No more home visits, even as a favour. Dog are far more settled and you have more control of them on my hydraulic table. My dog doesn't bite..............all dogs bite, please have control of them at all times.

One of my clients has passed my number on to someone needing help with retained puppies. I don't now the lady's name, or who passed my number on, but I am sorry I couldn't help her as she knows there are retained puppies she needs a vet. It was pointless me scanning her to tell her how many puppies were still there as the b***h obviously has a problem.

I hope someone can help her as she said she couldn't afford a vet and it sounded pretty serious as the b***h was cold.

No-show/late cancellation policy

I understand things crop up and sometimes you cannot make an appointment, but a little message goes a long way...When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on my calendar that is no longer available to anyone else.

I work limited hours around my commitments at home, I have a 93 year old father who lives in our annexe and a disabled husband to care for. I have been loathed to increase my prices, but with the number of no shows lately, I am beginning to wonder if I should continue to offer a competitive service and wasting my time.

I know emergencies happen, but if you do not show up for your appointment and put the phone down on me when I ring to check if all is ok, any future appointments must be paid for at the time of booking.
