As we are approaching the summer holidays, I wanted to take the time to remind everyone that we also do cat & small animal visits! 🐈🐀🦜🦎🐇🐠

Perhaps you’re looking at going on holiday for a couple of weeks, or maybe just a short getaway for a few days! If so, we can pop in on your pets to make sure they’re fed, have water and get plenty of attention. ☀️

We will send you regular updates of your pets whilst you’re away so that you don’t have to worry about them, and can focus on enjoying spending time with your friends & family!

Whether it be cats, rabbits, rats, reptiles or other small animals, we’ve got you covered.

Hi there everyone! Hope you’re all managing to keep cool in this warm weather we’re having! ☀️🌡️

THIS WEEK we have quite a few slots available, however due to the extreme weather these will be for house/garden visits instead. So if you need a last minute pop in for your dog, cat or other small animal this week just pop us a message and we shall see where we can get you booked in!

We’re based central Hull but cover areas around Sutton, Kingswood, Victoria Dock, Cottingham etc. Feel free to pop us a message to see if we can cover your area! ☺️

🐾☀️HAPPY MONDAY☀️🐾

It’s going to be a hot one this week☀️

We are expecting temperatures of up to 30oC throughout the week and although we love the sunshine, high temperatures can quickly become very dangerous for dogs🔥

☀️Look out for signs of heatstroke in your dog☀️

🛑 Excessive panting
🛑 Drooling
🛑 Lethargy, weakness or struggling to stand
🛑 Bright red gums
🛑 Vomiting or diarrhoea
🛑 Collapse or seizures

If your dog displays any of these signs:

❄️ Move your dog somewhere cool
💧 Offer small amounts of water to drink
💧 Use cool (not ice-cold) water on paws and tummy - do not soak your dogs whole body
🚨Contact your vet immediately

Instead of a walk for the next few days some mental stimulation can be just as tiring and much safer in the heat 🔥

🧊 Frozen enrichment bowls
👅 Licki mats with natural yoghurt, bone broth, pate or raw food
🧊 Frozen bone broth or goats milk treats
🧠 Snuffle mats and scent games
🪴Scatter feeding in the garden

🍦We have DIY Doggy Ice-cream, bone broth and goats milk powder in treat shed as well as frozen treats available for delivery and collection if you are looking for cooling enrichment options this week 🦴
