In a landmark moment for education, students will soon be able to grow the knowledge and skills they need for future careers shaped by science, technology and environmental change!

The GCSE will allow students to engage with and study specific organisms, including plants or animals and the contexts in which they live, and their complex interactions and dependencies. πŸͺΈ

The deadline to submit the survey is September 4th!

Happy International Whale Shark Day! πŸ‹

These beautiful gentle giants of the ocean can reach 18 metres (or more) in length. Despite their size, they feed on some of the tiniest creatures in the ocean - plankton!

These filter-feeders have a patterning on their back which is often compared to a starry sky. ✨

Sadly, they are listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species which makes research essential for their survival.

Meet the Porcupine pufferfish! 🐑

Did you know, they can inflate to almost double their size!
Their name derives from the long spines that appear from their body when inflated.

They are also masters of camouflage; have you been able to spot this one in Lagoon of Light? πŸ”
