I don’t usually post things like this, but I feel it’s important to share the reality of running a small business.
Over the last 3 days, I’ve lost £235 due to no-shows and last-minute cancellations. To some people, that might not seem like a lot, but to me, that’s my wage. It’s the money I rely on to pay my bills, buy food, keep my business running, and support my everyday life.
When you book an appointment with me, that time is reserved just for you. I’m often turning away other clients because your slot has been taken. If you don’t turn up or cancel with very little notice, I usually can’t fill that appointment, which means I’ve lost that income completely. Once that time has passed, I can’t get it back.
I completely understand that emergencies happen, and I’ll always do my best to be understanding when genuine situations arise. But repeated no-shows and last-minute cancellations have a real impact. They don’t just affect my diary—they affect my livelihood and my ability to keep doing the job I love.
Behind every small business is a real person, not a big company with a guaranteed wage. Every appointment matters, and every booking makes a difference.
Please, if you can’t make your appointment, let me know as soon as possible. Even a little notice gives me the chance to offer your appointment to someone else who may be waiting.
To all of my amazing clients who show up, respect my time, recommend me to others, and continue to support my small business—thank you. Your loyalty and kindness mean more than you’ll ever know, and I truly appreciate every single one of you. ❤️
On the upside here are some of the pooches that have been in this week! 🥰
