SIX
My absolute pride and joy, you will see my face light up whenever I speak about this dog
Doberman x bandog
3 years old
Hobbies include
- practicing her rspca face when it’s colder than 16 degrees
- biting men for fun
- cuddling you with her head
- hunting pheasants
- chomp chomps on her favourite ball
- testing your knee strength and courage as she runs up behind you
Things we’re working on currently
- taking the lure off her heel
- cooperative care with strangers in small spaces
- feeling better about interacting with men
She’s my “sport dog”, whatever that means, but she’s my best friend, absolute love of my life and I let her get away with murder because she’s just a good girl!
SARGE
The dog I never said I’d own, the silliest boy with the most serious face.
Australian Kelpie x Collie
1 years old
Hobbies include
- herding things
- watching things that could be herded
- wondering when he can next herd something
- staring at you in case you’re also thinking about herding
- sleeping upside down
Things we’re currently working on
- big feelings about fast moving unknown dogs (yes he’s dog reactive and I have no issue admitting my own dog struggles!)
- stability in obedience
- settling outside of the home
Sarge has forced me to train differently, his genetics are strong and I’ve had to think carefully about what I expose him to and how we navigate normal life because his brain works differently to your average pet dog and I love him for that, even if it means you’ll see me crawling on the floor in car parks working on encouraging possession with me
ACE
Resident goof ball incoming, doing him dirty with that angle
JRT mix
12 weeks old
Hobbies include
- making the kill shake his entire personality
- running everywhere at 100mph
- launching himself from great heights
- testing my patience for ignoring whining
- eating too quickly
Things we’re currently working on
- toilet training - he’s a dirty puppy
- settling in the dog room away from me
- exploring the world
My first dog as an adult was a JRT and I wish I knew then what I know now, S
