Hi everyone 🐾

Just a little update to let you know that I have seen all of your messages. 💕

Due to the recent hot weather, I’ve had to reschedule a number of appointments this week to ensure the safety and comfort of the dogs in my care. As a result, my priority over the next couple of days will be contacting and rearranging those affected appointments.

If you're waiting for a reply to a general enquiry, please don't worry—I haven't forgotten about you! I’ll be working through all messages over the weekend and will get back to everyone as soon as I can.

For any new customers or enquiries, I'd really appreciate it if you could send me a message rather than leave a voicemail, as it's much easier for me to keep track of everyone and respond as quickly as possible.

Happy belated 3rd Birthday to our handsome golden boy, Gus, who turned 3 yesterday! 🥳🎉💛 We've had the pleasure of grooming this gorgeous boy since he was a tiny puppy, and it's been so lovely watching him grow up. Hope you had the best birthday and got thoroughly spoiled! 😍❤️🐾

☀️ Hot Weather Notice ☀️

With the high temperatures forecast this week, the welfare of the dogs in my care will remain my top priority 🐶❤️

While I will do everything possible to accommodate scheduled appointments, there may be occasions where a groom needs to be postponed or rescheduled at short notice. Each dog will be assessed individually, taking into consideration factors such as age, breed, coat type, underlying health conditions and how well they are coping with the heat.

Unlike humans, dogs cannot regulate their body temperature as efficiently. They primarily cool themselves through panting and limited sweating through their paw pads, making them much more vulnerable to overheating and heat-related illness.

To help keep your dogs safe during warmer weather, I would recommend:

☀️ Walking early in the morning or later in the evening
☀️ Ensuring fresh water is always available
☀️ Providing cool, shaded areas to rest
☀️ Never leaving dogs unattended in vehicles
☀️ Watching for signs of overheating such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or distress

Not every dog spends their salon visit running around and causing chaos 🤣💤🐶

Some are more than happy to get cosy, relax and enjoy a little nap while they wait their on their brother like little Mylo 🥰

Creating a calm, safe and stress-free environment is something that's really important to me at Platinum Paws. Every dog is treated with patience, kindness and understanding so they can feel as comfortable as possible during their visit ❤️

I'd say this little one has mastered the art of salon relaxation 🤣💤

🐾 Platinum Paws Opening Hours Update 🐾

To ensure every dog receives the highest standard of care and attention, Platinum Paws will now be operating between 9:00am and 5:30pm.

I will also be taking a lunch break between 1:00pm and 1:30pm each day.

During this time messages and enquiries may not be answered immediately, however I will respond as soon as possible during business hours.
