Its just over a month to go until Nic and Katie will be at Preston Bissett Fete, 5th July, with the mobile wash van, if your free come along and support us, we will be offering wash and drys, nail clipping, teeth cleaning and even some full grooms for your pampered pooches on the day. We will also have a selection of doggy shampoos and perfumes on sale!

Different types of ticks, like the common deer tick or dog tick, can live on dogs. Their full life cycle, from egg to adult, can actually take anywhere from a few months to up to three years, depending on the species and environmental conditions. A lot of that time is spent off the host, though, waiting for a meal!

To keep them off your pup, there are a few good strategies. Regular checks after walks, especially if you've been in tall grass or wooded areas, are super important. You can also use vet-recommended preventative treatments like topical spot-ons, oral medications, or special collars. Keeping your yard tidy by mowing regularly and clearing leaf litter helps reduce tick habitats too.
