Think about your dog's routine before the first bang — from walking earlier and closing the curtains to preparing enrichment and making sure their microchip details are up to date.
And if you already know your dog finds fireworks difficult, please don’t wait until fireworks night to contact us.

🎃 Don’t be tricked by these toxins this Autumn 🍂

❄️ Anti-freeze
Contains ethylene glycol, an extremely toxic ingredient- ingestion of even a small amount can cause kidney failure.

🍂 Conkers and Acorns
When ingested, they can cause nasty tummy upsets and intestinal obstructions.

🦠 Mouldy Foods
Can cause seizures and liver problems if eaten by pets.

🍄‍🟫 Mushrooms
There are thousands of mushroom species with different toxic effects, meaning the symptoms of poisoning can vary from mild to severe.

🧄 Plant Bulbs
Many plant bulbs can be toxic to pets if chewed or eaten, so be careful if planting them this autumn.

🍬 Xylitol
This sweetener (aka E967) can be found in many sweet treats and causes a dangerous drop in blood sugar levels (and occasionally liver failure).

We have had a young, female, tabby and white cat brought into our Stourport practice today, she has no ID chip/collar and is in need of medical assistance. She was found around the Bewdley area.
