🏡 Home Time for Arella & Thor! 🐾

After a fun-filled stay with us, Arella and Thor have headed home today!

💦 Arella has kept us on our toes from start to finish. Full of energy, she absolutely loves running around and making the most of every opportunity to splash in the water. Life is one big adventure when Arella is around!

❤️ Thor has been his usual lovable self, enjoying plenty of cuddles, attention, and, of course, a few tasty treats along the way. He’s a gentle soul who knows exactly how to win everyone over.

It’s been a pleasure looking after these two lovely dogs, and they’ll certainly leave a quieter kennel behind! We hope they’ve both gone home ready for a well-earned rest after all their fun.

See you next time, Arella and Thor! 🐕🐕💕

Home time for Ted, Dougal, Nellie, Pepper and Milton! 🐾❤️

We’ve said goodbye to five lovely guests this week as they headed home after their boarding stays with us at Glenacres Kennels.

Ted and Dougal made the most of their holidays, spending plenty of time outdoors and enjoying a game of ball whenever they got the chance! 🎾

Nellie, Pepper and Milton have also been wonderful guests, enjoying lots of care, attention and exercise during their stays.

Thank you for choosing Glenacres to look after your dogs while you’re away. We hope they’re all settling back in at home, and we look forward to welcoming them back for another holiday soon! 🐶💕

Walks, enrichment, training, socialisation, ball throwing, they’re all fantastic and play an important role in a dog’s life.

But one thing I think many people forget is how important it is to simply let a dog be a dog.

Giving dogs the opportunity to sniff, explore, dig, roll in the grass, watch the world go by, and make their own choices allows them to express natural behaviours that are deeply rewarding and enriching. These activities engage their minds, build confidence, reduce stress, and help them experience the world in the way nature intended.

Sometimes the best enrichment isn’t another game or activity, it’s simply giving your dog the freedom and time to just be a dog.

Mabel has just gone home from her first boarding stay! She settled straight in and had a great time playing fetch in the field with all of the other doggy friends! We can’t wait to see her again soon 🩷

Today we said goodbye to Echo, Beau, Rocco, Penny, Angus, Lyla and Bo as they headed home after their stays with us. 🐾❤️

What a lovely bunch they are, all with very different personalities!

Echo, Beau, Lyla and Angus are happiest when there’s a ball involved, full of energy, always on the go, and ready for endless games of fetch! 🎾🐕 They certainly kept us busy.

Meanwhile, Rocco, Penny and Bo were much more interested in cuddles, company and spending time relaxing in their beds with us. 🥰

That’s one of the things we love most about what we do, getting to know every dog’s unique personality. Whether they’re full of energy and looking for adventure, or would rather enjoy a quiet cuddle and a snooze, we’re always happy to accommodate their individual needs and make sure they feel right at home.

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful stay with us and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! ❤️

Tolkien has headed home after another lovely stay with us at Glenacres. ❤️

Tolkien has been coming to stay for many years now, and it has been such a pleasure watching him grow in confidence over that time. When he first started visiting, he could be a little unsure and nervous, but these days he settles in brilliantly and enjoys all the attention from the team.

He's such a lovely boy with the sweetest nature, and it's always a joy to have him here.

We'll miss you, Tolkien, and can't wait to see you again soon! 🐾
