IVC FarmVets have been the leaders here in getting vaccination rates up against BTV. We will need to start discussing boosters in the spring.

We’re proud to announce that two exceptional members of the IVC Evidensia Farm team, Navaratnam Partheeban, Regional Head of Farm, and Rebecca Nelson of Fosse Way Farm Vets, have been elected to the British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) Board.

Since 1967, the BCVA has been a vital resource for cattle vets in the UK, championing cattle welfare, offering specialist CPD opportunities, and fostering a collaborative community. With a community of 400+ farm vets in our practices across the UK, we are delighted for these appointments which will continue to support the essential role the BCVA has today in the profession.

Navaratnam shared his excitement:
"I am honoured to join the BCVA Board and bring my ideas, perspectives, and experience to help tackle challenges. For me, the importance of people is key and something we need to be focusing more and more on, to keep talent within our industry.”

This is just a brilliant example of Farm vets making a real difference. A huge shout out to Brownlow and Park Issa Farm Vets for dropping everything and attending this emergency. These are very difficult situations, working with the emergency services and the farmers, in a very public environment. Great work and great outcome.

A team of vets have been hailed heroes after their quick actions saved the lives of dozens of cattle from an overturned lorry.

Farm Vets Congress starts tomorrow. Two days for clinical and business development plus building those really important networks across the group.

100 vets, vet techs, foot trimmers, and Practice teams are heading to the centre of Bristol, with talks from James Russell on Animal Health and welfare Pathway, from our foot care teams in Carmarthenshire on the benefits of working together and from Amy Jackson on how to communicate bettter and find common ground, plus all the usual pub quiz and laughs you’d expect from TeamFarm.

We’re delighted to announce that Navaratnam Partheeban has joined IVC Evidensia as Regional Head of Farm for the South of England and Wales.

Dr Partheeban’s career stretches back over 14 years as a Farm Vet, and he has previously worked in a variety of specialist areas such as clinical practice, pharmaceuticals, academia and animal nutrition to name a few.
