Design

We will work with you to design and create your exact cage system requirements. Your project is as individual as you and we will spend time going through practical solutions and ideas in order to create a finished cage product that does what you need it to do, when you need it. It is important that we take time and attention to detail when designing your bespoke cage system especially if it is for a vehicle which can take a lot more planning to ensure that space is utilised fully for your exact make and model. Once we have designed your custom product we will build it using high quality materials using processes that ensure the product is safe, secure and built to last. We have a range of finishing options available so that your item can be built to work within the conditions you require. It is important that your product feels and looks good and we will ensure that our time and dedication is spent making your product look the part whilst delivering quality and lastability. 🐾 Custom Green Cage System – Peugeot Expert 🐾

At Top Dog Team, we specialise in designing and building bespoke cage systems tailored to suit individual vans and specific requirements.

For this Peugeot Partner, we designed and installed a custom 11-cage system, making the most of the available space while incorporating practical access, ventilation and safety features.

- Rear Section: A 3 up 2 down complete with escape doors opening towards the front of the van.

- Middle Section: A 2 up 2 down with escape doors providing access towards the front of the van.

- Front Section: A custom-built side guard incorporating a door at each side-loading door, alongside a central front divider with a door to separate the front section into two individual cages.

- Bulkhead Modification: Modified to improve airflow into the rear of the van, with an additional mesh guard fitted to the lower section of the bulkhead.

- Heksa Flooring: Supplied and fitted to provide a durable, practical floor covering.

- Roof Ventilation: A wind-driven Flettner roof vent fitted to assist with ventilation.

- Wall & Door Insulation: Polyfinesse lining and insulation added to the walls and doors of the van.

- 12V Power Supply: A 12V cigarette-lighter socket installed in the rear of the van.

- Wiring Protection: Existing wiring in the rear of the van neatly covered for a cleaner, more finished installation.

Every element of this build was carefully considered to create a practical, well-organised and bespoke transport solution.

Designed specifically for a Mercedes Sprinter, this two-tier cage system has been engineered to make the most of the available space while offering exceptional versatility.

Each cage has been individually designed to stack securely as a two-level system, while also allowing both units to be used independently when required — giving our customer complete flexibility.

Custom 2 up 2 down Installed in a Citroën Berlingo Crew Cab 🐾

Need a dog cage system designed specifically for your vehicle? This custom built 2 up 2 down installation was tailored to meet our customer’s exact requirements, combining practicality, safety and a professional finish.

Unlike our standard 2 up 2 down systems, this build features offset cage heights to make the most of the available space and suit the customer’s needs.

The system was designed and built around the van’s existing bulkhead, which was modified to incorporate escape doors. The lower cage escape doors were positioned within the divider to align with the escape door already fitted in the bulkhead, creating a practical and accessible layout. The escape doors on the top 2 cages are built to drop down allowing maximum space for the doors.

We also fitted:

🐾A drop-down jump board to make it easier for the dogs to access the upper cages
🐾A durable Heksa floor throughout the rear of the van
🐾Auto Black powder coating on the cages and modified bulkhead for a hard-wearing, professional finish
🐾Compression latches on every cage for secure closure

Every system we build is made to suit the individual vehicle and the customer’s specific requirements.

💙 A Blue Kind of Monday 💙

We recently completed this bespoke cage system for a Renault Trafic Sport.

The setup includes:

• A removable 2 up 2 down with escape doors
• Removable dividers in both the upper and lower cages
• Two removable single cages to the front of the van
• A bespoke side guard with two doors
• A half-mesh bulkhead for air flow

All the doors are fitted with compression latches for a secure and reliable finish.

To complete the build, the cages were professionally powder coated in a beautiful shade of blue, giving the whole system a smart, durable and eye-catching finish. 💙

Another bespoke setup built to the customer’s requirements, because no two vans — or dogs — are quite the same! 🐾

A bespoke double cage system featuring escape doors, a removable divider and a false floor, giving the customer some handy extra storage underneath. Finished in a beautiful green powder coat.

🩶VW T6
A built-in 2 up 2 down with escape doors, finished in smart anthracite grey powder coat. Practical, secure and built to make the most of the available space.

🖤 VW Amarok
A 2-cage system with window guards, finished in Auto Black powder coat.

Such a lovely shade of green! 💚

We’ve recently completed this bespoke 2-up 2-down with escape doors, but this one is a little different from our usual design.

Built entirely to the customer’s requirements, this setup was designed specifically to suit the needs of their dogs. We incorporated removable dividers into both the top and bottom cages, allowing the space to be adapted as required.

We also added a roof panel with insulation.

The cages were finished in a beautiful shade of green powder coating, and every door has been fitted with a compression latch for secure and reliable closure.

Another bespoke build out the door! 🔥

We’ve recently completed this built-in 3-cage system with escape doors, custom-made specifically for a Ford Transit Custom.

➖A custom floor was made for the rear of the van to work seamlessly around the customer’s existing drawer system.
➖The cages were designed and built to perfectly accommodate the drawers.
➖Everything was powder coated in Anthracite Grey to match the existing setup for a sleek, professional finish.
➖Every door is fitted with a compression latch for secure, reliable closure.
