I haven’t got a degree.
I started my career in Financial Services at the tender age of 17 and spent the next 23 years (mostly enjoying it! 🙊), working across many different roles and departments.
During that time, I grew up, discovered my strengths and realised what I loved doing most.
I found my vocation and for the final 10 years of my career I worked as a coach and trainer, specialising in leadership development, employee engagement, sales, programme management and business coaching.
And now I’m back at school… well, uni! 🎓
I’m currently studying for a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Canine Behaviour with The Canine Behaviour College.
I’m nine months into a 24-month course, and the depth of learning is insane - far beyond any previous canine qualification I’ve completed.
My passion has always been behaviour in one guise or another - why we do what we do and how we can learn and grow - be that human or dog.
What fascinates me most about my studies is that I’m finding so much of what I’m learning about dogs’ behaviour can also be applied to humans.
That’s why putting ourselves into our dogs’ shoes, or paws 🐾 can help us to see their perspective and understand why they respond the way they do.
And that degree level qualification, well, it’s on its way 🤩.
