Dior is a sweet 10-year-old girl who is looking for a quiet, understanding home where she can take things at her own pace ❤️

Dior is a nervous girl and isn’t a big fan of the hustle and bustle of cattery life, so she may not show her true personality straight away when she meets new people. But underneath that nervous exterior is a lovely girl who we know has so much love to give 🥰

She isn’t particularly keen on men (sorry, guys! 😹) and can sometimes feel a little worried around other cats, so we’re looking for a female-only home with no other pets. We may consider a home with another gentle female cat for the right match.

We’ve been told that Dior is a real lap cat, and we’re already starting to see glimpses of that girl here at the centre, as she has begun chatting away to a couple of our female staff members - so hopefully she’ll start getting close to showing us her true self 💕

Dior doesn’t need someone to expect everything from her straight away. She needs someone patient who will give her the time, space and reassurance she needs to build her confidence and trust.

If you think you could offer Dior the home she is looking for, please use the link below to apply:

Please say hello to Jelly and Jam! Two beautiful girls who are looking for a loving forever home together! 🏡🐾

You may remember Jelly from a previous post, when she came into our care suffering from severe dermatitis caused by stress-related overgrooming. Sadly, her condition had gone untreated, leaving her with painful infections across much of her body 💔

But just look at her now! After weeks of treatment, lots of care and plenty of patience, Jelly has made an incredible recovery, and we couldn't be prouder of her! ❤️

Throughout her treatment, Jelly has been an absolute superstar, putting up with medicated baths, medication and even wearing a cone while she healed. She's come such a long way, and now it's time for her to look forward to a brighter future! 🌟

Jelly and Jam are a bonded pair, which means they must find a home together. These lovely ladies have recently celebrated their ninth birthdays with us 🎂, and we would love nothing more than to see them head off into their golden years in a home of their own.

Both girls are incredibly affectionate and are sure to bring lots of love into their new home. They also absolutely love their food, so you'll certainly win them over with a tasty treat! 😋 Jam, in particular, is a little sweetheart who will happily follow you around, purring away and reaching out for attention. Who could resist that?! 🥰

Now, we're hoping to find these two special girls a home where they can settle in together, feel safe and enjoy all the love, comfort and fuss they deserve 💕

Could you be the one to give Jelly and Jam their happy ever after? 🏡 If you think you could offer them the loving home they're waiting for, please get in touch with us by following the link below to fill in an application form 🐾

Afternoon everyone, hope you're having a good day so far! ☀️

I'm Autumn, a rather quiet lady, a little reserved and a bit shut down, to be honest. As I don't show off regularly in the cattery when people visit, I thought I would introduce myself to you all on todays episode of .

I find the cattery here very nice. From what I have heard, it's like a 5-star hotel (I have obviously never stayed in a hotel, so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️).

I was a stray, you see.I can't remember how I ended up in that position, though 🤔, but it wasn't very nice 😢

When I was rescued, I did have a nasty cut by my eye. They think it may have been caused by another cat, but I'm not good at remembering that, as it's part of my life I really want to forget.

I'm currently undergoing some treatment from the vets, so I'm not quite ready to find my forever home just yet.

Talking about the vets... do you know what they found? I had worms, worms and MORE worms! 🪱🪱🪱🤢 No wonder I was feeling a bit ewww! I'm all treated now, though, so I'm feeling much better. Thank you for sorting those out for me!

I don't understand how something as beautiful as me was harbouring something so disgusting! 😱

Anyway... like I said at the beginning, I don't really like cattery life. These carers are wonderful to me, and I do get spoilt rotten, but I am very shy, so I do like to stay in my bed a lot.

At times, I have lain on a human's lap. Not for long, but I rather liked it! It's just occasionally that I will do that, though, as I need to build more trust with my carers 🥰

They all say I have lots of potential, and although I do give the odd hiss when you first speak to me, I have never lashed out or shown any aggression to anyone. I'm just sad and a little confused right now 😔

Hopefully, one of you lovely people will give me a chance to be the beautiful girl I am in your home. I just need a quiet house with lots of places to sleep and where I will be spoilt ❤️

**18th October 2026 – a very special day in our story.**

Today marks 10 years since we first opened our doors here at The Holdings. A whole decade!

That’s 521 weeks, or 3,651 days, of providing a safe haven for the stray, neglected, unwanted and mistreated animals of Worcester, Worcestershire and beyond.

It’s quite something to look back and reflect on just how much has been achieved in those 10 years. Where once there was barren land, overgrown with waist-high weeds, there now stands an animal centre that has helped save, transform and change literally thousands of lives.

What began as a dream held by a handful of dedicated volunteers, whose passion for animal welfare was stronger than the voices telling them it couldn’t be done, has become a reality. Today, The Holdings is a place of hope, a lifeline for animals who have nowhere else to turn, and a true testament to what determination, compassion and a community pulling together can achieve.

For every single day of those 10 years, we’ve worked tirelessly to make a difference. Our dedicated staff and volunteers have manned the fort, come rain or shine, opening 7 days a week to provide the love, care, rehabilitation and second chances that so many animals desperately need.

Over the years, we’ve cared for and rehomed thousands of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. Every one has their own story, and there are far too many to tell them all. But some will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Behind every happy ending are countless hours of care, difficult decisions, emotional days, veterinary treatment, patience and determination. Rescue isn’t always easy. There is pain and sadness, and we see far too much of it, but there is also hope, kindness and the incredible reward of watching an animal finally get the life they deserve.

Sadly, over the years, we’ve also lost some of the people who were instrumental in making The Holdings what it is today. In particular, our much-missed branch secretary, Pamela Booker, whose dedication helped shape the centre we know and love. The Holdings stands as a lasting testament to the hard work, determination and passion of those who helped bring it to life. Their legacy lives on in every animal we help, every life we change and every happy ending we celebrate.

**BUT LOVE ALONE DOESN’T PAY THE BILLS.**

It costs over **£400,000 every year** to keep The Holdings running. The costs of caring for so many animals are enormous, and as an independent, self-funded branch of the RSPCA, we raise the vast majority of that money ourselves.

Our three charity shops, fundraising events, donations and the incredibly generous legacies left to us by supporters in their wills all help keep the doors open. Every penny makes a difference, and every year we face the challenge of raising the funds needed to continue our work.

Which brings us to the most important part of this anniversary: **YOU.** ❤️

We haven’t achieved all this alone, and we couldn’t continue without the incredible support of our community.

You’ve shopped with us, bought our plants, attended our events (even if it was just for the cake 😉🍰), donated, volunteered, fundraised, shared our social media posts, and answered our pleas for help. You’ve given your time, your money, your energy, and your kindness. Sometimes you’ve simply told someone about us, helping spread the word that we’re here.

Every pound raised, every hour volunteered, every item bought, every donation made and every post shared helps us continue providing a lifeline to animals who need us.

Whether you work for us, volunteer with us, support our shops, come along to our events or quietly support us from afar, **you are part of The Holdings’ story.** You have helped turn a dream into a reality, kept us going through difficult times and made thousands of happy endings possible.

So, from everyone at The Holdings, and on behalf of every animal who has walked through our doors over the last decade, we want to say one very big, heartfelt…

**THANK YOU.** ❤️

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for standing alongside us. Thank you for helping us through the difficult days, celebrating the happy endings and making sure we can be here for the animals who need us tomorrow.

Ten years ago, The Holdings was a dream. Today, it’s a home, a safe haven and a place of hope for animals who need a second chance.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, deeply grateful to everyone who has helped us get here, and determined to keep making a difference for as long as we can.

Here’s to the first 10 years, to the animals still waiting for their forever homes, to the people who made all this possible, and to the next decade and beyond!

**HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY, THE HOLDINGS!** 🥂🐾❤️

Here’s to many more lives saved, tails wagging, happy endings and second chances. 🐶🐱🐰

Today’s is an update on Wasabi, our wonderful FIV+ boy who went home in June this year.

“Me and my partner adopted Wasabi about 4 months ago and just wanted to send an update of his progress! Not sure if you remember but he was a pretty shy and quiet boy in the shelter after living on the streets!

But he has had a complete glow up! 🙂 He has put on weight, his coat is super glossy and soft and he has really come out of his shell!

He seems really happy, does a lot of zooming around the house and wants to be near one of us all the time! I have attached some photos so you can see how well he is doing (compared to his advert!) - hopefully we are giving him the life he always dreamed of!

Thanks so much for matching us 🙂”

Isn’t this transformation absolutely incredible? Updates like this really show how a loving home can work wonders ❤️ thank you ❤️
