Rocco presented to .vets with a recent history of a right hindlimb lameness. Following an by Sarah Halligan instability was found in the stifle (knee) indicating a failure of the ligament.
Sarah then spoke to our in house Don Sheahan who is the head of Keele .

There are a number of different techniques available to manage a cruciate rupture. Donās preferred technique is a procedure known as a tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO). This technique stabilises the stifle by changing the biomechanics so that a cruciate ligament is no longer needed š
