Did you know some plants are toxic to put pets if eaten.
Plants such as Chrysanthemums,Crocus, Aconite (roots, foliage,homes),Amaryllis (bulbs), Apple seeds, Apricot kernels to name a small few are toxic to put pets and need treatment urgently.

Make sure you check what you or your neighbours put down for rodent poison is animal friendly, a lot of them aren't animal friendly and can be fatal for our pets.
Make sure you have control of your dog when out and about as they maybe tempted to eat the poison put down in public places

Harvest mites

Harvest mites are tiny,bright orange parasites that latch onto a dog's skin during late summer and autumn.

They can cause intense itching, red inflamed skin.

They look like tiny clusters of bright orange or red specks resembling colored dust on the skin, most commonly found between the toes,inside the ears, on the belly,armpits and groin

Check the chip day

Microchipping your pet is important because it provides permanent identification

Microchipping increases the chance of reunion, if lost and complies with legal rules

The tiny chip is the size of a grain of rice and stays in your pet's for it's entire lifetime

The microchip cannot fall out or off, Unlike collars and tags that break will get lost. A microchip stays under the skin

The microchip number is unique. The chip holds a distinct code linked to your contact info on a secure database

If someone steals your pet, a police scanner can provide ownership via the database

Legally in many places such as the UK microchipping dogs by 8 weeks old is a legal requirement and for cats by 20 weeks of age

A Vet/Vet Nurse injects, the chip under the skin in seconds, much like a normal vaccination

What are feline parasites?
And why is it important to take action against them?

Common feline parasites include fleas, ticks, ear mites,roundworms, tapeworms... the list goes on!

Unfortunately, when cats aren't protected they can easily pick parasites up and spread them to other animals and for some, even to humans.

Feline parasites aren't just uncomfortable; They can cause allergic reactions and illness and transmit some nasty diseases....

This means that regular parasite treatment is highly recommended!
