Kobe the Pomsky

Handsome 3 year old Kobe was in today, and he brought his lovely sister Kiera along for moral support. He gets a bit nervous with new things, so having her nearby really helped him feel safe.

Kobe had a good deshed and a tidy up around his bum and hygiene areas, and honestly, his coat needed it after their walk. His whole bum and undercoat were full of those sticky hedge balls, still no idea what they're actually called. By the time I'd gently worked them all out and prepped him for his bath and deshed, he was not impressed about having to stand still and not sit down.

By the time it came to scissor tidying his bum area, he'd had enough, so I didn't push him beyond his limits. A little tidy, lots of reassurance, and we stopped where he felt comfortable. His welfare always comes first.

Once everything was brushed through, bathed, dried and tidied, he looked absolutely beautiful. Soft, fluffy, and feeling so much lighter without all those clingy little hitchhikers stuck in his coat.

Well done Kobe, you were such a brave boy today. 💛

Trying to book the dog in shouldn't take half your afternoon.

You message a groomer asking what they've got available.

They come back with Tuesday at 11 or Thursday at 2.

You're at work.

So you send over the days you can do.

They're full those days.

A few messages later, nobody's done anything wrong, but you still haven't got the dog booked in.

That's one bit of hassle I wanted to take away at Cosy Coat.

Our online diary shows all available appointments for the next 90 days.

Have a look when it suits you.
Find a date and time that works.
Book it there and then.

No waiting for me to finish grooming and reply. No back and forth trying to match diaries. And no disappointment when the dates I send don't work for you.

Just pick what works for you and it's done.

Because booking the groom should be the easy bit.

Molly Moment: Episode 10.

Mam took a few days off this week to spend with me. She told the little human it was because of the end of the school holidays, and that it was really for her.

Between us, I know the truth. But if it makes the little human feel special, I'm happy to go along with it.

We went to the beach a few times, which was easily the best part. I got to jump straight into the rock pools while the little human was busy hunting for fish and crabs, timing it perfectly so I could splash her right when she wasn't looking. Mam and the little human seem to genuinely love watching me do this. I do it purely as a public service.

We also went for snacks at the local ice cream parlour, mine and the little human's favourite place, mostly because I always get sausages there. Genuinely can't fault the place.

The little human went back to school this week too. Very proud of herself about it, says she's a big girl now she's in Year Two, and was made up to see all her friends again.

I did hear Dad, on the little telly thing, say something about getting ready for "the virus to start again," because apparently school is just full of something called lurgy. I don't know what that is, but from the way he said it, it didn't sound good.

Mam's back at work now too, and properly busy. I heard her tell Dad her diary's full for the next two weeks.

I also heard Dad mention some sort of "Iron Man thing" next week, wherever he actually is, and he sounded very pleased about it. Mam told him not to go getting any ideas, but I think she already knows he's planning the next adventure. She just hasn't said it out loud yet.

If you want to keep following along, hit follow.

Molly's gentle pamper today

Sweet Molly is now 19, and her little eyes don't see the world quite the same anymore. Today was all about taking things slowly, a soft, steady deshed with lots of breaks, cuddles and reassurance in between.

Her body support was perfect for her, taking the weight off her joints and letting her relax properly. She settled into it beautifully and was so comfortable throughout.

We used a cone just for her nails, as her mam was worried she might nip, but she was absolutely fine, still her gentle little self.

Molly went through a really frightening experience recently, she was attacked on her way to her last groom with me. So today wasn't just about freshening her up, it was about rebuilding trust, keeping everything calm, and letting her feel safe again.

She is so loved by her mam and dad, honestly spoilt rotten, exactly as she deserves at her age. She went home fresh, comfy and ready for her tea and a little sleep. 💛
