A Little Business Update ❤️🐾

I just want to be honest with you all about something I have been struggling with.

I physically cannot keep working the way I have been.

I've been squeezing in extra customers and working longer days because I want to accommodate everyone and keep my business growing. But the reality is that it is taking a toll on me physically.

There are days when I know I've booked too much in, and I already know before I start that by the end of the day I am going to be completely drained and in a lot of pain.

I need to start listening to my body instead of constantly pushing it past its limits. I love my job, I love my customers and I want to continue doing what I do for a long time — but I can't do that if I keep running myself into the ground.

So going forward, I may have to say no to some extra appointments, limit how many dogs I take on in a day and stop squeezing people into spaces where I simply don't have the physical capacity.

I also want to explain something about the afternoon appointments I sometimes offer. These are outside of my normal working hours. I have been offering some appointments in the afternoons because I want to accommodate people and fit them in, but these appointments are essentially me giving up my own time to make it work for you.

I don't think everyone realises that, and I can't continue doing that when I'm already struggling physically, so please plan ahead.

To the small handful of regular customers that I already do this for, I will continue to do so after the school run, but I need to keep those days few and far between to give my body the rest it needs.

So if you know you want an appointment in December, please book it now. Once my December appointments are full, I won't be offering extra appointments in my own time to squeeze anyone else in.

This isn't me not wanting to work. It's me recognising that I have to look after myself too.

I hope you can all understand and continue to support me while I find a balance that allows me to keep doing what I love without leaving myself in pain at the end of every working day.

We had a lush relaxing break away. The dogs loved it. Booked a woodland dog field for them to run off lead (george can go off lead but im nervous about cosmo but he stuck by me and watches me the whole time bless him).
Already rebooked for next year!
Celebrated my 32nd birthday **cough cough**. Lots of dachshund related presents ❤️
Back to work tomorrow!
