We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor David Hughes.

A respected voice in food and farming, Professor Hughes helped people across the industry understand a changing world and consider the opportunities ahead. We were honoured to welcome him to our farming conference in January and grateful to have had the opportunity to hear his knowledge and perspective first-hand.

He leaves a lasting legacy across the food and farming community and will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.

The annual Suffolk Harvest Festival is happening this Sunday, with the service taking place at St. Edmundsbury Cathedral.

This lovely event expresses gratitude and celebrates those who work the land and sea, especially in light of the challenges faced over the past year.

The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature the Suffolk Trinity animals, food and drink stalls, displays of agricultural machinery, and family-friendly entertainment.

๐ŸŒฑ Shaped by farmers, for farmers.

After another successful Farming Conference and invaluable feedback from attendees, we're excited to announce that the 2027 Virtual Farming Conference returns this January.

Last year, you told us you wanted to learn more about AI in agriculture, future farm planning, and how to move from being a price taker to a price maker in a changing agricultural landscape.

We've built a conference around those conversations, bringing together industry experts and practical insights to help you make informed decisions for your farm business.

Whether you're planning for SFI26, exploring new technology or looking for fresh opportunities, this conference is designed with you in mind.

๐Ÿšœ Don't miss out.

๐ŸŒพ Save the date! The 2027 Virtual Farming Conference is happening on Thursday, January 28.

This free event will bring together industry leaders to discuss crucial topics suggested by farmers during our last conference at Trinity Park.

As we reflect on another harvest, it's time to think about what innovations can give your farm a competitive edge. Whether it's leveraging AI for better decision-making, strengthening customer relationships, or gaining more control over pricing, weโ€™re diving into these important discussions in January.

Don't miss out; click the link below to register and learn more about the conference:

This week we organised two farm outreach days for primary school children aged 7-9 years old, one at Chadacre Estate Farm, another at Home Farm Nacton! ๐ŸŒฝ

250 schoolchildren had the opportunity to visit these working farms and speak with a variety of exhibitors who are demonstrating the importance of food, farming, and the countryside!

Thank you again to the primary schools which joined us, the exhibitors who put on fantastic workshops, our stewards, and the two farms Home Farm Nacton and Chadacre who welcomed us onto their farms!

It was two brilliant days! โœจ
