WAGS on WATER

WAGS on WATER Wags on Water is unique. We board, foster, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need on a 1:1 basis.

We also rescue and source rehabilitation for any wild animal in need. All this whilst afloat a 65ft long barge called Yaffle, on the River Orwell.

It feels like I might finally be winning in regard to Barge Yaffle. Welding has been completed. Another coat of blacking has gone on. The water pump has been fixed and the new plate fitting for the steering unit is in place.

Jobs yet to do are, another coat of blacking, the sea c**k fitted and 18 anodes bolted on. Next we wait for a slot to be lifted, contact Chris Nixon (skipper) and get put back into the water. Then I will be checking the welded areas in the engine room for leaks. Once that's all done....I can breathe 💨

Its lovely to be mobile again. The wagwaggon is back to doing what it does best...being a kennel on wheels 🚙💨

Pedro loves to get in close and personal. Any closer and he will be wearing my dress 😉

UPDATE 5-6-26. Sadly after 48hrs little Kev was not improving. His neurological symptoms didn't change and the vet helped him fly over the rainbow bridge.

At 9:45 last night this little soul arrived. Found on a table by a member of the public. Unable to stand or support its own weight. Upon arrival it was given EmerAid and settled on a heat mat to rest.

This morning it is clearly unable to walk, so it will need veterinary help. I'm calling this one Kev after the lovely man who took the time to drive it to me. ❤️‍🩹

Jem may not be well, and be battered and bruised but he still has the most beautiful blue eyes. Each time I feed or clean him, he is watching me. Today he became vocal. There is a lot of intelligence there. I really hope he understands, that I mean him no harm and only want to help. ❤️‍🩹

Our first arrival in June, is little Steven Seagull. He has been looked after for three days by the kind men who found him. He is a bit stressed, so I hope to get him transferred to Wildlives Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre as soon as possible, where he can join Rodney and Nathanial in the gull pen.

Jem is still with us, but very wobbly. I plan to get him to a vet as soon as I can, but for now an inverted bobble hat is keeping him upright and able to feed himself. ❤️‍🩹
