🐾🩺 A paws-itively brilliant evening with our local Cubs! 🐾

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Cubs to our practice for an evening of fun, learning and all things veterinary! 🐶🐱

They got to meet some of our vets and nurses and discover what life is really like behind the scenes at a veterinary practice.

There was plenty of hands-on learning, including:
🔎 A veterinary-themed scavenger hunt
🏥 A tour of our practice with Nurse Emma
👩‍⚕️ Learning how to gown and glove like a member of our clinical team
🩹 Bandaging their own patients — cuddly toys, of course! — with Karen Lee, Head of Learning at CCOAS 🧸🐾

We love supporting our local community and helping young people learn more about animal health, veterinary care and the different roles within a veterinary practice. 💚

Last week, we hosted our Fireworks & Behaviour Evening, and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along! 💙

Our behaviourist, Arabelle, shared lots of helpful advice on how to recognise the signs of fear and anxiety in your dog, as well as practical tips to help keep your pets calm, safe and comfortable during fireworks. 🐶✨

🐾🩺 A brilliant visit from our local Brownies! 🩺🐾

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 16th Ipswich Brownies group to our practice for the evening, where they got to meet some of our vets and nurses and find out more about life in a veterinary practice. 🐶🐱

They had a busy evening exploring, learning and getting hands-on with some fun activities, including:

For many dogs, fireworks can be a stressful and frightening experience. The sudden loud bangs and flashes can cause anxiety, fear and distress — especially when they’re not prepared.

That’s why we’re hosting our FREE talk, “Building Confidence Around Fireworks”, with our behaviourists Leslie King and Arabelle Barnard. 🐾💙

You’ll learn practical ways to help your pet feel more comfortable, including:
🎯 Desensitisation games and techniques you can use weeks or even days before fireworks events
🧘 Ways to help your dog build confidence around loud noises
🛍️ Advice on different calming products available at our Pets Place shop
