Have you ever wondered what helps your dog run, jump, turn and move with such amazing agility?

Two very important structures are tendons and ligaments - and although they are often mentioned together, they have different jobs.

🐾 Tendons connect muscles to bones. They help transfer the force created by the muscles, allowing your dog to move their joints and limbs.

🐾 Ligaments connect bone to bone. They help stabilise and support joints, helping to keep everything properly aligned during movement.

Because tendons and ligaments have a relatively limited blood supply compared with muscles, injuries can take time to heal and recovery needs to be carefully managed.

“TheraPlate Vibrates" is probably the single most common misconception second only to "TheraPlate has no peer reviewed data" the fact is, scientifically it actually doesn't vibrate and we do indeed actually have significant peer reviewed studies.

The problem is some people simply guess, or listen to people with zero understanding in the first place. But did you know, false information actually spreads X6 faster than that of which is true?
This misinformation is usually said quite freely, and usually without any prior knowledge of those peer reviewed papers which have been floating around in circulation since 2019.

What do we know about • BONES •

Although bones are a very hard organ, they also have a dense network of blood vessels inside them where the bone marrow is located as well as on the outside that is covered by the periosteum.

Blood vessels provide support to various cell types within the bone and maintain functional niches in the bone marrow microenvironment. Heterogeneity within blood vessels and niches indicate the importance of specialized vascular niches in regulating skeletal functions.

Drainage of blood is by a system of veins that runs parallel with the arterial supply and by veins leaving the cortical periosteum through muscle insertions.
Muscle contraction milks blood outward, giving rise to a centrifugal pattern of flow from the axial nutrient artery through the cortex and out through muscle attachments.
