Some of you may have read about the use of electrochemotherapy to treat a python from Chester zoo 🐍

Well it certainly caught our attention and we loved reading about Jodie's case👀

As far as we know, here at Scottish Vet Referrals, we are the only practice currently that can offer electrochemotherapy in Scotland💉 With our Internal Medicine and Oncologist, Simon Bate💙

Although we have yet to treat a snake! We've only tackled dogs and cats tumours so far!🐾

Electrochemotherapy is a minimally invasive way to precisely target some tumours to achieve a highly effective outcome💙

📢 IMPORTANT 📢

A voluntary recall has been made of all Years Fresh Meals (excluding Chef's Collection) after reports of suspected cases of "dry eye".
If you currently feed Years dog food please stop feeding it immediately. More information can be found on the Years website https://www.years.com/pages/care
The company is advising owners with dogs experiencing eye discomfort to contact them.
The investigation is ongoing and is currently focused on potential contamination within a portion of buckwheat supply, rather than buckwheat itself.

If you have any concerns regarding your pets eye health, please contact your own primary vet in the first instance.
Eye issues should always be checked by a vet as soon as symptoms are noticed.

Signs of dry eye ( keratoconjunctivitis sicca) include:
👀 red eyes
👀 squinting/increased blinking
👀 discharge from the eyes
👀 dullness to the eye surface
