🎆FIREWORKS SEASON IS UPON US🎆

Here are some helpful tips for keeping your pets stress-free on fireworks night 🧘‍♀️

Please also remember to order any calming medication your pet may require in plenty of time before fireworks night. If your pet hasn't been seen in the last 6 months, they will require an up-to-date health check with a vet in order to prescribe this 💊

Please call us on 01463 711777 to order medications or arrange an appointment to discuss 📞

🐾PET WELLNESS MONTH - MICROCHIPPING🐾

Pet wellness isn’t just about keeping your pet healthy, it’s also about helping keep them safe❤️
Microchipping is one of the simplest ways to give your pet a better chance of being reunited with you if they ever go missing.

✨ Provides a permanent form of identification
✨ Helps lost pets be reunited with their families
✨ Supports responsible pet ownership
✨ Gives you extra peace of mind if your pet ever escapes or gets lost

Unlike collars and tags, a microchip is designed to stay with your pet throughout their life. But remember, a microchip only works if your contact details are kept up to date 🏠📱

Pet Wellness Month is the perfect reminder to check that your pet’s microchip details are current.

🐶🐱 In Scotland it is also a legal requirement for dogs to be microchipped and registered from 8 weeks old. There are no legal requirements for cat to be microchipped at the moment, but it is highly recommended for their safety.

If further treatment is needed, we'll put the £25 paid for the Lump Check towards your treatment.

🐾 PET WELLNESS MONTH - NEUTERING 🐾

Neutering can be an important part of your pet’s preventive healthcare. Depending on your pet’s age, breed, lifestyle and individual health needs, neutering may help:

✨ Prevent unwanted litters
✨ Reduce the risk of certain reproductive health problems
✨ Help prevent some reproductive cancers and infections
✨ Reduce hormone-driven behaviours in some pets

Every pet is different, so there isn’t a one size fits all approach. Our veterinary team can talk you through the potential benefits, risks and best timing for your individual pet 🐶🐱

Give us a call on 01463 711777 to chat to one of our team 📞

Do you know which vaccinations your cat needs, and when they need them?

Vaccinations help protect cats against serious infectious diseases and are an important part of routine preventative care. Keeping them up to date also gives your veterinary team a chance to review your cat’s health and make sure their vaccination schedule is right for them.

Our helpful vaccination guide explains what to expect and when your cat may need their vaccinations.

** Lost Dog **

We have been informed by some very worried owners that their dog has ran off. If you see a brown brindle lurcher with a red collar / lead around the Culloden caravan park area please contact either the SSPCA or us here at Inshes Vets.
