Friday's footerers. Well, sad times on the morning patrol. Had to say goodbye to wee Josh for a while, little fella is terrified if everything at the moment. Thought it was separation anxiety but his owner was along again this morning and he was still cowering, tail tucked in and just not having a good time. Hopefully we'll see him back in the future. Meanwhile, the rest if the squad had a good wander, not a very fast wander mind 😂 Probably just enjoying the sun and actual warmth for a change.
Friday lunchtime, so you know what that means. Yup, Mac being a big mooch, Bailey with a mooth full of sticks and Willow being a massive gobsh*te, demanding I play tug of war with a stick 🙈 Only this time Luna was along for the ride. She joined in with Mac being a mooch for a bit, then had a crack at the old tug of war herself.
Finished off the week with the old trek round the fields. Yup, still windy. But it was a warm(ish) wind so it's fine. Bit warm for big, hairy doggos, so we did not go very fast at all. Still had plenty of energy for barging each other out of the way to get at the water though 🤣 Anyway, that's me for the week folks, enjoy your weekend!

Thursday's squad. Alright gang, I'm absolutely puggled. Got an ill bairn at home, a garden that looks like the Somme, only with a digger, and I'm just done 😅 So enjoy the photos but I've got nae banter the night, sorry.

Wednesday's wanderers. Managed to dodge the rain today, was only raining when I was driving. Get in. A slightly fraught walk around Templeton to start the day off, trying to keep them all out of the muddy puddles. Largely successful. Ish 😂 Not nearly as successful at keeping Murphy, Marley and Jasper from capering every 2 minutes and tying abody in knots though.
Bit of a pickle at lunchtime, Wee Josh has developed a crippling case of separation anxiety recently. Compare the photo of him today to the photos of him from yesterday morning (when his owner was there) and you'll see what I mean. Poor wee man 🥺 Luna and Jasper got cracking on anyway, Luna found a ball which caused great excitement. Then promptly lost it 5 minutes later on one of her adventures. Easy come, easy go.
A fine and sunny end to the day, having a nice wander about the woods. With plenty of stops for rolling in the dirt and of course, mooching 🙈 A power of mooching. Never one to miss an opportunity to cause mayhem, Nala saw her chance when I was dishing out the water and managed to slip away. Didn't go very far mind, just ran about in circles with Kaya for a few minutes 🤣 Didn't take long to get her back.

Labrador Tuesday. Oh goodie, looks like we've entered silly season for roadworks again *sigh*. Road to Backmuir was closed this morning, with no warning, so we had a change of plan and went to Campy. Bailey, Jasper and Josh had a grand old time chasing each other about, Kaya just annoyed the peace and quiet 😂 Barney and Murphy were just left to their own devices, quite happily snuffling about.
Willow was on one at lunchtime, so all the boys got a thorough doing. Even wee Ruby didn't escape without a mild pestering 🤣 Was a bit on the warm side, so of course they all needed a wee dip in the big puddle. Well, that's their excuse and they're sticking to it.
Winter made a brief reappearance for the last walk of the day, lashing doon with rain and temperatures in the single digits. So that was nice 🙄 Of course with 3 waterproof Labradors and Jasper fae the cooncil, it didn't stop them mooching. The sun eventually showed it's face again, just in time for a mad 5 minutes before it was time to go home.

Monday's moochers. After a bit of a washout weekend it was good to see the sun again. The morning patrol seemed happy anyway, there was no hanging about the day, off like the clappers 😂 Templeton was a bit on the muddy side after all the rain last night, so there was a battle of wills to keep Skye and Kaya out of the mud. A battle which I mostly won, although Kaya did take herself off for a dip in the pond. At least it's clean. Ish.
There was a bit more of that at lunchtime, as they all decided to have a swim in the big puddle. Even wee Ruby, the secret tinky 🙈 There was of course a round of thorough lug inspections and a good old tear about from the boys. Luna and Ruby sensibly kept out of the way of their nonsense.
Away round the farm again to finish off Monday and it wasn't half breezy. Quite glad of that though, was getting pretty warm. There was the usual pushing and shoving to get a drink of water, but I eventually got them to form an orderly queue. Sort of 🤣 Came at a price though, cleaned oot of biscuits.

Friday's fudds. Yay, it wasn't raining! Slow going on the morning patrol, far too much mucking about. Not blaming anyone in particular for that *ahem* Marley *cough* 😂 In fairness, Kaya wasn't helping either. At leats there weren't any squirrels to contend with.
The usual Friday lunchtime nonsense followed, Bailey made his own entertainment, carrying aticks around, happy as Larry. Willow kept stealing them and being a gobsh*te, cos of course she did 🤣 Mac stared wistfully at the deer in the distance, probably thinking about chasing them around like a loon, but didn't make any attempt to chase them. I know, I'm confused too.
Finished off the week with a wee wander around the farm. A very slooow wander 🙈 Cos someone, who shall remain nameless, kept stopping every 2 minutes to roll about like a demented forkie-taily. And of course the rest of them took this as a prime opportunity to get some mooching in. Honestly... Anyway, that's me for the week folks, I'm away to dismantle an old trampoline, the joys. Thursday's squad. Insert obligatory complaint about the weather here. Anyhoo, starting off with a quiet wander with the morning patrol. Not that quiet to be fair, Barney was very vocal today for some reason. Kaya meanwhile, was busying herself collecting sticks and carrying them about. Just normal retriever stuff 😂
The Brute squad got the only bit of sunshine today at lunchtime and it seems they enjoyed it. None of the usual shenanigans, just mooching about enjoying the sun. Tucker did try to get the party started a few times but no-one was taking him on. Wee man 🤣
Absolutely battering it down for Extreme Fetch at the end of the day but it didn't bother them. Highly motivated athletes, you see? 🤪 Alfie got his first scores the day, fair and square. Still seems like he's not quite sure what's going on. Today's game was a draw between Mac and Kaya, Lolly's late surge wasn't quite enough to get her any points. And Mabel dod not stay clean. No-one stayed clean 😂

Wednesday's wallopers. Oh dear, some soggy doggies today, would not stop raining. The morning patrol all ended up thoroughly soaked but it could not dampen their spirits. Jasper and Kaya were giving it laldie, running about in circles playing chasies. And Bear was doing his absolute best to wind up Skye 🙈 He's playing with fire there...
A new personal best for Bailey, took him about 7 seconds to find a ball in a bush today. Well impressed. That kept them all amused for a good while 😂 Not Luna though, oh no. She had big ideas about wee adventures but eventually ended up on the lead of shame after trying to chase the deer about.
Yup, still raining in the afternoon. Despite already being drenched, Nala decided she had to jump in every puddle going. Some things never change 🤣 At least it was a bit cooler than last time for the big hairy beasties, summertime can't be much fun when you're stuck in a big fur coat all day. Still coupd have done without the rain though 😂

Tuesday's troops. Spent all day watching the skies for the forecast thunderstorms, but nothing. Thankfully 😅 So the usual Tuesday morning antics with the morning patrol, duck and cover and mind your knees, Bailey's tearing about with a collection of sticks in his mooth 😂 Barney's mastered the art of avoiding the sticks now, been caught out too many times before.
Some Brute squad action at lunchtime, in between Bear trying to chase those bloody deer again. It's really not helpful when Willow tries to herd them back towards me though. I get it, instinct and all, she thinks she's helping 🤣 And a bit of a protest from Ruby. Not happy about having to wear the wetsuit to keep her dry, so she decided to get in the big puddle with it on. To hell with the rules!
Very warm by the afternoon so we stuck to the shade for a quiet wander. Kaya had other ideas though, she found a ball in a bush so things quickly got pretty exciting 🙈 I had a cunning plan though, give the ball to Max so he chews it up and that's the end if that. But no, Max is such a gentleman he just kept giving the ball back to Kaya...

Monday's moochers. Well, ye'll have hud yir summer then? Certainly looks like that's the case, if today is anything to go by. The pishy drizzle didn't bother the morning patrol anyway. Still pottering along like it was a nice, sunny summers morn, not a care in the world. Murphy took some time out from sniffing to have a wee boogie, he wants you to know he's doing his best to bring the sun back 😂
Tucker's swapped days and made a new pal, which is nice. Him, Benson and Cosmo were running about daft, sharing a brain cell 🤣 Buddy joined in for a bit then just toddled along behind, deep in thought, like he was pondering the big questions in life. Luna was just busy trying to figure out what's so fascinating about her lugs...
A wee wander around the farm to finish off the day. Despite the rain it was still pretty warm, so we were on the go-slow. Well, Daimon's an auld manny now, doesn't like to go fast when it's warm. Still got plenty of energy for mooching though 🙈 We eventually made it round though, just as well we weren't in a hurry.
